        I'm so excited to get started on this challenge. WOW, we already have 11 participants! That's great! I can't wait to get to know all of you better and start shedding the pounds.

          285 lbs, looking for 270 with 4000 minutes of exercise.
          40 year old male 6' 3"

          What I know:
          1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
          2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
          3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
          4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

                I'm in. I'll try for 30 pounds gone forever. I hope by 4/14 I'll be less than where I am now. So I'll re-weigh on that day. I pledge 2500 minutes. Let's DO THIS!!!!

                  Hi Liz, I started today, and posted my 90 minutes of workout, till I realized that the challenge starts till April 14th hahaha well I will continue doing my 30 minutes extra of workout, I need to do more cause Im not losing weight! Still trying to figure out why, Im not cheating, I havent eat nothing outside of the induction list, I'm drinking a lot of water so I started to do smaller portions to see if that works this week.

                    Two things.....you've lost 16 pounds in less than a month....that is awesome! your body might be taking a break! secondly, the addition of the extra 5 carbs of veggies on rung one actually helps most folks lose weight.....and you get better nutrition....and more fiber!

                      Hi Liz.
                      I do of course, want to join your challenge. But I'm gonna wait until last minute to see how i stand with my back and knee issues before deciding what kind of minutes to commit to. I do have a wheelchair in the basement, but I'm hoping to not have to resort to the upper arm workouts it gives. I've managed some intense gardening and always suffer the consequences of that the next day

                        I'm in! But since my scale gave up on me the other day :-( I can only guess my current weight. 238 is what I weiged about 10 days ago. The new scale should arrive the next couple of days.

                          Thanks Chicklady, you are right, I guess my body is going crazy right now asking what is going on! where are the carbs!??? where is the sugar??? why is she drinking so much water!!!? hahaha and now why is she moving so much!??? So I'm still a little constipated, I am having trouble sleeping early and waking up early, and Im a little sentimental, but that is normal on this time of the month.

                          And also I havent read the book! so I am trying to understand what is that rung thing, Im doing the same induction diet from the start, I havent had much time to read more of the forum, Im only checking the treads Im in, and just now, writing this thing down I have got an idea on how to get the book! hehehe I'll tell you later if it work
