Hi Girls! I've been trying but not doing very well. And I've got tons of excuses too! My mom's been in the hospital, i've been sick with some kind of stomach virus and we had a major thunderstorm two weeks ago and wound up with a tree on the back of our house. Most of the major damage is to the siding and on the roof over the back bath and and laundry room but it rained for a few days straight and the rain seems to have leaked in from everywhere so we've got some pretty serious water damage on the inside as well. My husband and I are trying to do the repairs ourselves and one of us may not live to tell about it. :speechle:
I don't seem to be able to get things moving in the right direction for more than one day at a time but luckily I haven't gained any weight. I'm just holding steady and trying to atleast get a few things right. I am actually getting quite a bit of exercise and i'm getting most of my water. My biggest problem is skipping meals and when I do eat, it's usually whatever is most convenient. I'm not going to believe that I can't do this. . . I can do this, I've just got to get myself in a better place mentally so that it isn't so overwhelming.
I know, I know, excuses, excuses, excuses. Can I still hang out her sometimes even if i'm not "on the wagon" all the time?

I love you Laurenfra! and cleo and mandimar and goldengirl and chixrule and sidrah and Yoly1001 and everybody I didn't mention because my memory is not that good.
I started running, and you know that weight gain thing that happens when you start a new type of strenuous exercise? Yah well, it got me good...EIGHT POUNDS :yikes Now I am back down to normal, but even when one knows that this is a typical thing, it is still a scary thing. I am coming up on my one year start date June 10. My goal is to have that weight counter move... Hey, wasn't that my goal in January? and I suppose after the gain thing I should be more specific, I want that weigt counter to move DOWN, thank you very much.
Mandimar, I hope you dry out over there, and hugs to Cleo with the flu.
Good ATKINEERING to you all. -ANN

I love you too Laurenfra! You're the one who keeps this team together!
I hope everyone had a good Memorial Day weekend - hopefully no one had to work and all barbeque's were a success! More home repair work for us over the weekend and then took my daughter to her grandma to spend a week. My daughter is 7 and her grandma isn't much bigger than she is. Their favorite thing to do together is to play dress up - you wouldn't believe it if you could see them - grandma wearing the cinderella dress or the purple ballet tutu and a sparkly tiara - too funny! It makes it a little bit easier to NOT hate her for being a size 2 and weighing less than 100 lbs. I just can't imagine being that tiny, in fact I feel like Godzilla when I'm around her.
We woke up at 5:00a.m. this morning to a hail storm and we've now sprung another leak that is funneling rain out from under the tile in the shower ceiling. I'm thinking it may be time to call in a professional for this roof work. It's seriously giving me the blues.
Ann, it's great that you're running! I read your post and thought, gee I wish I was small enough to run - then I looked at your weight counter and realized we're at the same place! So how far do you run? Do you run outside, at a gym, on a treadmill? I think I want to give this a try too!
