Just been out today and purchased a fridge for my taxi. Ice cool water at supermarket prices. Today pulled over and had Salad and Makerel for lunch!

Disapearing products!!
Anyone else noticing that Tesco & Asda are cutting back on their low-carb products?? One of the few things I really liked was CarbOptions caesar salad dressing and my Asda has stopped stocking it.
Tesco was the only place I have seen Atkins low-carb yogurts and they did their own brand too, but they have both dissapeared. They still have an end of aisle unit that is packed with over priced low-carb stuff such as larger & cookies and chocolate and stuff though.
I used to buy Keto Pizza base mix from Holland & Barratt, but they have taken all their low-carb products (except the very expensive suppliments) off their shelves now.
I think im ready to move off eggs and on to some sort of cereal for breakfast now after 18 months!!! Anyone got any suggestions ....

I use LowCarb Success Flax Meal Hot Cereal available form www.lowcarbmegastore.com its just down the road from me. I would'nt say it tastes fantastic but mixed with hot water and only 2 net carbs its palitable for a change. I use the 'Vanilla Almond' flavour, add Davinci sugar free Caramel syrup & double cream & its ok.Male 47yrs 5' 10"

i've just finished my online Tesco order actually, and ordered some low-carb mayonnaise, but am not sure if this is allowed on induction. I'll keep my eye open for low carb cereals, tho.

Squeaker if you’re on induction I would not personally eat the mayo. You got to be so careful. I put 2 eggs whole in a blender add salt and pepper, 1/4tsp mustard powder blend for 1 minute. Then blend on slow and drizzle in olive oil slowly. After 5 mins you have mayo. You can add garlic, vinegar or curry powder to it!Male 47yrs 5' 10"

Thanks - I'll give it a go. Every time I've made my own mayo before it comes out looking like wallpaper paste and tasting obnoxious, but it's always worth another go.
Went to a wedding reception last night - there wasn't one single item that wasn't either wrapped in pastry or bread, not even a chicken leg or a green salad!

I know the feeling! My office had a night out on Friday and nothing available for dinner fitted into my Atkins. On top of that I tried to explain to a visiting friend what I can and can't have but it didn't get through to her because the meal she cooked for us included floured pork and sweet potato....
I stepped on the scales yesterday morning to find that the 3.5lbs I'd lost last week had returned along with another one for good measure and was NOT happy. Am heading back down the way now.
Lesson learned - I only eat the things I cook myself because I know what the **** I'm doing!!!

What gets me about this is that you can tell people til your blue in the face what you can't and and can eat aned yet they STILL give you stuff you can't. I'm supposed to be going out for a meal on saturday and I'm dreading it.

Then be sure and eat before you go so that you're full - that way you won't be tempted to eat rubbish. I am going to a party on Saturday night and will not be drinking because I know that alcohol is one of my triggers but can also say to my friend whose birthday bash it is that I'm not drinking because of work the following day. I'll have a good meal on Saturday before I leave to go to work so that I'm not tempted to eat rubbish at the party but can still enjoy the atmosphere.

It's the booze part I don't like - that's the biggest temptation. All my family love a drink, but I think this time I'll get away with it as my German penfriend is coming and she's a non-drinker. I've got the best excuse in the world as she wants me to take her sightseeing the following day.
I'm trying to figure out the best restaurant to go to. I know she doesn't like Indian - I'm not keen on Chinese. We've got a pretty good cross section of eateries here but I can't make up my mind which may be the most Atkin's friendly.

Anyone else read the Metro this morning on the way to work that had the article slamming Atkins and saying that the Dr was 'clinically obese' when he died, leading people to think that the diet itself is bad when all that's happened is that the frankenfoods will b dead?

ive been on atkins a few weeks and read the book over and over ........
can anyone help
hubby started atkins last week and is on the induction and hes always hungry
im worried about the amount of eggs he's eating
can you eat sausages lol
whats a atkins friendly menu
at weatherspoons
so worried about going there in september
i know all my friends will start makeing jokes if i dont eat a pudding or starter
i dont know anyone on atkins by were i live ,there all on weightwatchers
so i thought id bug you lot with my questions
