      Re: UK!

Hello. Boots has a 3 for 2 deal on Atkins supplements, or did the last time I looked (online - boots.com). I also take CoEnzyme Q10, a calcium-magnesium pill (huge, makes me gag), 2 psyllium caps every morning, and fish oils. I occasionally still get leg cramps, in which case I take potassium and it goes away.

My take on all this is that, as the good Dr says, the supplements are essential whether you feel unwell or not, because there's just no way you're getting all your necessary nutrients from the early stages of the diet (I'm on Extended Induction). I also think my weird amounts of energy are something to do with the Q10 a well as with the diet, but I don't have any actual evidence of this.

Same here. Tesco's www.tesco.com have a good deal on at the moment and their multivits aren't like horse pills for a change. But I've got their vit c tablets which look like something you'd give a rhino for a mid-morning snack! I think they're supposed to be chewable but taste vile
Might nip off to Boots tommorow with my Advantage card if they've got them on offer - always good to stock up!

Hi Shrinky - thanks for the info on Boots. They had them on BOGOF not long ago - I wish I'd stocked up then. Saying that, they are still far more expensive than the H & B ones so we'll see x

              Hi Guys

I hear that centrum silver is recommended as an alternative to the expensive basic #3 vitimins. You may remember a few days ago, I found Holland & Barrett ABC + senior. I went through the ingredients and as far as I can tell, they are exactly the same as Centrum Silver and are on offer in H & B at £2.80! I am going to go and stock up later!

              Cheers

                              Hi Deborah.

There is a magazine out called "Low Carb Energy". It costs £2.70 and can be found in most "big" supermarkets, (well thats where I get mine from).

                              I hope that helps.

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

Bad News I am afraid here Rich.

I have been subscribing to Low Carb Energy as though it is heavily USA biased with a token nod towards UK advertisers of ready-made LC products it still was UK published BUT . . .

Just (yesterday) received a letter from the publishers telling me they have stopped the magazine and talking about refund arrangements for my prepaid unused subscription.

If anyone has subscribed and hasn't had this letter you should phone them on 01376 534541 to arrange your refund.

They did say you could buy back issues at £4 including postage.
