  • I take a vitamin with iron.....when I low carb my menstral cycle gets crazy and I get low iron. Last time I low carbed I was on iron "horse pills" from the doctor because I bleed to much (sorry if too much info but part of this WOE for me). I take a woman's multi vitamin once a day.

    Hey how did you know that it is 10:15 am and am still in my PJ's!!!! Sigh I don't wanna move....I have 4 dozen cupcakes and a cake to feed 50 to complete toadya and I do not want to be hip deep in sugar right now....Yes I have to do this because I am a licensed home baker and they people pickingup their orders tonight would be mighty pissed at me if I told them they have no orders because it was too much temptation for my fat a$$! :raving

    • I'm on day 8 after restart and cheat free! I had a horrible withdrawal yesterday, but came out of it feeling great!

      • Alesam - I take Co-Q10, a multi, Sundown's Mega -Energy (has some caffeine, but other good stuff too), Acidophilus, and B6. My main issue is always energy, dieting or not. This stuff helps. I'm going to get some chromium picolinate (sp?). Maybe L-glutamine too.

        It's noon and I just got out of my pj's and got dressed, so you're not alone! :hug

        There's no way I could be around all that sugar and still hang on. Yay for you!

          • L-Glutamine ROCKS killing the carb creep! I never crave sweets when taking that, and it's not that expensive compared to other supplements.

            I take tons of vitamins. If Metamucil isn't helping, get some flax vitamins. I take the combo fish/flax/borage. It does help! Also flax bread is good. :nod

              • Karen- getting dressed tends not to be the priority most mornings. I've got a 2.5 year old and a 5 month old and getting everyone fed and dressed... anyway, peanut butter and rice cereal don't make very nice acccessories to my attire. So pj's it is.

                Oh, to have the time to get dressed in the morning. Would be nice.

                • :nod I'm with ya! I was never a stay at home mom until 6 months ago....OMG I work 3 times harder now than i ever did at work! I'm not sure how the house didn't fall down and the kids didn't run away when I was working!

                  • Sometimes I think it would be nice to have a job outside the house just to be able to get away from it all, but I really am fortunate that I can work from home and have my kids with me. It's very tough but I'm learning that I can do alot more than I thought I could a couple of years ago.

                    My oldest boy just got out of preschool for the summer and I'm having to adjust to him being here in the mornings. I don't have to take him to school right now and so I end up with showerless and a little smelly until I can get everyone to watch cartoons for a while. It starts to effect how you feel about yourself. Some days I just have to stop and make myself get dressed because I feel very blah. Anyway I'm rambling...

                    If you ever need to vent, I'm here for ya! :raving

                      • This is the best I've felt about myself in a very long time!! I remain cheat free, and drinking my water, walking, and eatting only my legal foods!! Yesterday I felt so sure of myself for the FIRST time in 8 years, I painted my finger & toes nails, took a nice pampering hot bubblebath in my garden tub, and topped my evening off with putting lotion on my legs and arms.... somethingelse I've not done in YEARS!! :joy

                        Only thing I'm not sure of is did I buy the right vitamins... I have to wait til next week to buy more vits because we have 4 kids here.... they needed money for school... lol anyways so I just bought me the oneaday weightsmart and oneaday carbsmart... i take one every other day of each of them, never both same day... but Im not sure if they are the right vits Im can take urplequ:

                          I need help!!!!! I've been doing fairly well, just a little snitch here or there every couple weeks for the last few months, and bouncing around a few lbs here and there, then we went on vacation last week and I blew everything to heck and back!!!!! I'm going to the grocery tonite or tomorrow to re-stock back up on everything good for me and hit the low carb trail anew tomorrow!!! I can't believe that I gained 13 lbs in 1 week!!!!! :yikes UGHHH!

                          • 4 myself, it sounds like a lot, but I'll bet you you may have cheated with salty snacks and its probably just mostly water weight, It absolutely couldn't be fat. So, drink a lot of water, and watch the salt shaker and high sodium foods for a couple days and see if that helps. I bet you drop the weight in no time.
                            Poefox, don't worry about the vitamins, take them till there gone. Check vitacost.com for prices, they are about the cheapest that I have seen both on line and off. Also walmart has specials and grocery stores are usually cheaper than drug stores.
                            I know about being on a budget. :nod :nod :nod :nod been there alot.

                            Today is a week and I have officially lost 4 pounds. This is so cool to have folks who understand and don't shake the book in your face.

                            Wonder what happened to foil head. You don't think she caught the attention of aliens and got beamed up do you?

                              • Now on day 10....cheat free! I'm on to legumes since I only inducted for 2 days and then went back to the berries rung. Still in ketosis and now upping to 30 grams. I didn't do alcohol ring as I'm waaaay too familiar of it's effect on me.
