  • Thanks for the replies everyone! Great snack ideas!

Today is day 3 of this WOE and day 4 of my exercise. Doing okay. Had a moment last night when I thought I was going to throw in the towel, again, because I was desperately wanting my sweet stuff. So, I went with a small portion of the cream cheese and splenda. Worked like a charm. Completely squashed that little urge to eat icecream.

Hope everyone has a good day! :wave

    • Sarah, hang in there. We are all here to encourage and support each other. We are a group that have struggles and, it appears, that our punishments are humorous/embarrassing :raving rather than making you feel horrible. We all feel horrible enough when we slip up, whether planned or unplanned. ensive

I have been struggling. My hubby is supportive but doesn't fully understand things. Once in awhile he goes out of his way to give me a reward in the form of a *treat*, usually something I just can't say no to.

I can't blame anyone but myself. I have to go back within my gut and find that commitment I had the very first time I started this. Whatever our reasons for slipping/falling, the important thing is that we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and start again.

We know we can do this. :joy With the help of everyone here, we WILL MAKE IT!!!

      • You are absolutely right Debbie. Thanks for the words of encouragement. :hug

I'm actually proud of myself today. I have the same problem of not being able to say "no" to the offering of little treats. Well today a co-worker wanted to bring back something sweet for us to eat and she said, oh come on, you can cheat just this once. I can proudly say that I said NO. I'm getting on track and you all can too.

Still a little poor on the water intake, but I'm working on it. :nod

I've got to get my act together. I'll never get outta these jammies! LOL... ok, Monday I'm totally committing. I always do good on water. I need to exercise faithfully and keep legal foods/treats around me so I don't snack on my daughter's crap.

I'll see if hubby can do a picture for me this weekend and someone can help me post it :help

            • You know, on the note of people offering food when you are trying to lose weight, why is it that family and friends seem to try and sabotage our efforts (unknowingly of course, subconcious you think?). Like I couldn't do that on my own. :yikes

I really think my hubby is sincere though. He thinks if I've been cheat-free all week that I deserve a *reward*. I know he will stop doing that if I tell him that it hurts my efforts :nod And if I keep *legal* treats around for myself, he will know I'm not being deprived. So I'm cooking up a storm this weekend so I'll have my *treats* on hand! :joy

                    • Thanks Johnny, from reading your posts you are doing AWESOME!

Debbie, I'm sure they don't do it intentionally. It just makes me wonder. Great job on cooking this weekend. I'm sure that will help you stay on track. Just if I could pre-plan :confused Never works for me.

                              • HELLLP!!

Ok, here's the deal, I'm a second-timer (well, if you count the starts and stops, maybe I'm more like a 542nd-timer. Beside the point.) I need help this time around.

I 50lbs after I had my first baby, now 2.5 years and another baby later I'm right back where I started. Trying to start the diet but this time I can't through 3 days without falling off the wagon. I can't even get comfortable on the wagon and I fall off!

Anyway, I'm a newbie to this forum, but can I please join the forum? Pretty please?
