  • Want to join the Second Time Around Club.

Okay, if this is you, please join me and help me create the Second Time Around Gang. This is just for those folks you 1) believe in Akins 2) understand the principles of Atkins 3) need to get healthy, thinner and/or in shape; yet the office candy bowl calls to them, or the slice of bread, or the bowl of rice. Its for that person who wakes up in the morning an decides that "today is the day" and then something happens and exercise isn't done or the water didn't get drunk, and you go to bed hating yourself for being weak.
Do I know what the rules are for our new club? No we will work that out together
Do I know what the mission statement is, yep Getting past that first day, cheat free.
Maybe IrishIrish or one of the other mods for this forum can be our own personal Mod to help up along.
    Care to join me?

I will join you. I have done Atkins three times in the last 5 years and am always successful but the carbs call me back! I have even gone through bootcamp here but still found a way to go back to carbs!

    I am finishing my third day of induction...today was H E L L :raving
I am really sick to my stomach, light headed and hot (but not the kind of hot I want to be!). I had a very hard time to stay away from the carbs...crackers were calling my name something fierce today! However I stuck it out.....this is one of the worst "induction flu" I have experienced yet.

I could use a group of people like me to keep me focused!

I'm here to kick some butt with you all.

Today is my first day back on induction. I fell off the wagon and then chewed the tires for a couple weeks. Now I'm back to licking the horses, and those are induction-friendly.

      So sign me up, pard'ner!

oh, count me in! Day 12 of re-induction (like 10 times) I've spent the last 6 months being pissed off at my self for gaining back 30 of the 62 pounds I lost the first time. I'm so sick of being mad at myself. i know this works, I know how to do it, I know I have no excuse, I've read the book at least 3 times and have inspired at least 2 people that I know of to lose huge amounts of wieght. and the bottom line is I know I feel better physically and emotionally when I eat right. Now...if I can just remember this the next time someone orders pizza urplequ:

6 pounds down this time around..... :icondance

                      so how's everyone doing today?

I woke up this morning and was asked to get the cereal out of the top cupboard by my daughter. I dragged the chair over..... 5 boxes of cereal sit starring in my face I forgot I bought on sale (why is the crappy stuff always on sale? ensive) I handed her the box and stood on that chair for literally 10 minutes trying to talk myself into having a bowl. I don't even like cereal that much urplequ: My daughter must have thought i was nuts "mom, what are you doing?" which snapped me out of my self sabotoging daze and I promptly came here to post. Thank goodness for this thread...now I feel better. Now..time to get up and do something so i can post for the 6 week ex challange.

Good for you! I know it can be hard to see some of our favourite crap in the house....makes it harder for sure! I thought the same while my son had waffles this morning! Funny my three year son is a carb eater...loves his bread and fruit....my daughter is two years old and is a protein eater...loves her meat and cheese..they are both very thin kids!

I had a pretty bad night....I was still nauseated and super hot. Today I am feeling much better! I was starting to worry that this was not diet related because I never remember being so sick with induction before....however I am feeling better and 4 pounds lighter this morning! LOL That is crazy...4 pounds in a day! (I realize it was water weight...but still!!!)

I understand that it is unbelievably fustrating that we are educated, know what to do to loose this weight and yet we continue to talk ourselves out of it. What is it going to take to get it like so many others....I too want to have before and afters.....tired of just the befores!

Ok it is 10:30am here and I still have not eaten today...so I am off to make some eggs!

:wave First time posting on this site. I've been lurking for awhile. I, too, am back - - first day of re-induction. I have been doing a half-hearted version of Atkins for the last several weeks. You know, lower carb but not really following the plan. I've found that doesn't really work for me. It's too easy to cheat when you aren't fully committed. I'm fully committed now. Went to the grocery store yesterday to stock up. I brought food to work today and have planned my menu for the week. Gulping on water at this very moment.
                          hopeful~

I'm so glad to know that we ALL are human!!! :nod

I really fell off the wagon this weekend. I have been SO discouraged with how slow I'm losing!! I'm getting that frame of mind "I'm not losing anyway so why not have some crackers" type thing. I only gained a pound or 2 though but I'm so discouraged. I know this WOL works. My big problem lately is exercise. I have used every excuse not to do it.

I need motivation and help from people who are falling, like me..... and who want to get back on and succeed. I need that virtual "kick in the butt".

Count me in :joy And yes, I am definitely going to the gym tonight!

I'm not going back to induction though. I think I'm still in ketosis and I'm only on the veggie rung anyway.
