hi there everybody.....i lost 22 lbs a year ago on this woe and now a year later am going back on it. i have had 6 false starts due to the fact that i am an emotional comfort eater and am having difficulties in my life right now, what with my husband's cancer, and my pneumonia, diagnosed 3 months ago whilst on a shoot in s. africa. i keep starting this woe, and for some reason or other (usually another drama) keep going off plan. however...this time i am back on track being 3 days into the induction. i am now able to exercise, and am feeling a little better about life. wish me luck! and send me positive vibes please!!! thanks guys........

        Hi, mickigirl!

The best thing you can do right now is to start planning ahead for the possible things to come which tend to throw you off of your way of eating. Life is chock full of terrible events. Being able to plan for dealing with the emotion through not feeding them is going to be tantamount to your success, not only for taking off the weight, but in keeping it off.

I'm so sorry you've had so much to contend with these last few times! Here are positive vibes and wishes for smooth sailing for you while you get the rest of your 2 week's induction under your belt!

Hi Micki, Congratulations on not giving up. I had a hard time getting back on Induction, but I am now on my way. You will be too, and I know you can do it. I'm sorry to hear about what you have been going through, and I know how hard it is to think about what we are eating during stressful times. So this time around, preperation and variety will remain at the top of my list. When I am prepared with foods with 0 or few carbs, such has cooked chicken, beef or pork, while I am learning to cope without running to food, when I do have those times, I feel so good knowing that I have run to Induction friendly foods. As for variety, I have been trying all sorts Induction friendly recipes from this forum. There are other places to go for recipes as well, and they are mentioned in the recipe forum. Know you are not alone here. Please come join us in the daily threads. Everyone there is understanding and knows what it's like to get going again. You can do it! Babs

Yep, I think most of us have done the same thing, and felt the same way. I know it makes me question whether or not I have any working brain cells anywhere in my head!

I've just re found this forum.

I have restarted induction on 7 Jan. Today I am 7lbs lighter.
I have my DH joining me this time so it is easier. DS and DD are all old
enough to cook for themselves if they "don't like that stuff" so it makes
                            my life less stressful.
I am trying to walk at least 4 times a week, and drinking my water.

                                G'day all,

I started induction 10 days ago (no cheats). The experience has been somewhat different to the first time I did it. The hunger/cravings have gone, but my telltale bright yellow 'fluid' comes and goes. I also have had really bad cramps from day 4 to 9 (last time I had it one night and gone). But pushing on through.

Last time I went about 6 months with zero cheats. Then on a long weekend away (with a tight budget) I decided to cheat for 3 days, and get back on induction on the Tuesday. I never did... stupid. I think last time I stayed on extended induction too long. I might move onto OWL a little earlier this time.

It's good to be back though! The energy's good (apart from feeling tired when the cramps kept me up), the snacks are pretty much gone and I can't wait for the pounds and inches (well, kilos and centimetres) start coming off.
                                Graeme
