Couple of people have mentioned they'd like some advice as they start this woe the second (or third, fourth, 29th) time. I thought we could start a thread with tips and reminders for all renewbies:
Here are my thoughts:
1. Measure every 2 weeks. Use Mybodycomp.com to record and keep track of measurements, because this time around, the scale may not move as quickly.
2. Reread DANDR before you start and consult it frequently during the first two weeks, at least.
3. Set a weekly commitment to do something you have been struggling with. For example: this week, I will exercise 5/7 days. Or this week, I will drink a minimum of 80 oz of water per day. A lot of us find that posting about that commitment really helps us DO it. I know there are times when I just feel like you know, I'll just blow that off today, but I remember that I have to be honest in a post and I go ahead and do it.
4. Do something good for you, yourself, and nobody else, at least once a week. Manicure, pedicure, bubble bath, stargazing, good book, whatever.
5. Preplan. More than ever, now that we've been off-cycle and eating crap, we need to have foods available that are really yummy and satisfy a craving. Keep baggies or tupperware containers with serving-size portions of something legal.
6. Never leave the house without having eaten something high in fat.
7. Exercise. I didn't exercise much the last time around. This time, I've been religious about it. I feel SO good. It is SO important, especially if we lose slower this time around.
8. Find a buddy. Either someone further along, as a mentor, or someone right where you are, as a support buddy. You can pm and you can post on the board. You can email if you like. Terry and others frequently pm me to offer support if I'm feeling frustrated,or to check in on me and keep me legal!
9. Support others. When we give advice and support, we are more likely to take that advice ourselves!
10. Check in and post EVERY DAY (at least twice). Most of us will tell you that staying in touch on this forum is the key to our maintaining our commitment. There's something about this place and the wonderful people here that really keeps us going!

Caution I BITE!
Which reminds me to go measure! I started my exercising today and if anything like last time...for a few weeks I lost nothing...but did loose big time in inches. Which if I don't measure this time...I won't know (other than my clothes being looser) But I'm a numbers person...show me numbers lost whether in lbs or inches and I'm a happy camper
