I didn't want to hijack Dan's thread.
Disclaimer:
I've been eating to satisfaction and to feed my body and not my emotions. I do not recommend anyone copy what I am doing, because what works for me won't for others, and vice versa. I keep diligent track of what I'm eating, and while I do not starve myself, I am not hungry. I suppose it might be controversial, but that's just the way the celery crunches.
I eat pretty much the same thing everyday because my comfort level is repetition.
Breakfast: 2.5 egg spicy sausage omelet (includes 1 cup non-saladinduction veg)
Lunch: 2.5 egg spicy omelet
Dinner: salad veg (2 cups), olives, salami roll-ups, cheese (1oz), mustard.
Altogether I probably eat between 900-1200 calories per day. My numbers according to fitday are that I'm usually under 20 net grams, and that my percentages for protein/fat/carbs are correct.
I exercise an hour a day at an incline of 2-3 now, and I burn roughly 800 calories doing this according to my treadmill predicated on my weight. If I'm eating 900 calories a day and I'm burning 800 calories a day through exercise, I'm losing weight pretty fast.
Still, I am not advocating anyone try this. This is me. This is what I do. I have a high metabolism and I'm just not as hungry as many people are.
I hope this helps.
