  • Re: Kentucky Derby . . . . . . Keeping on Track

Good Morning Ladies or i should say Afternoon lol. Ok i am under so much stress here, my oldest daughter and me are rubbing each other the wrong way here lately and i just need a day for myself. See my hubby has had to work since January 14th without a day off, 12hr shifts, and he works from 7pm-7am, his first day off will be tomorrow night thank god, i really need a break, i know that sounds horrible but i feel my nerves are on edge. I think the issue with my oldest is me and her are so much alike, and i also homeschool her so we are together constantly, i never get a break from her, so tuesday i have a hair appt, and i might even go to a matinee by myself when that is over and let my hubby homeschool her on tuesday since he is off mon and tue. just to have some time to myself. I know he has been working but at least he gets away and be around other adults, me i work from home, i homeschool her and i think without his support this last month it has overwhelmed me. I am happy to say i had a legal bfast, and last night i didnt turn my captain d's into a binge fest, something i normally do, im like ok i got 6hrs before i go to bed what else can i eat, instead i only drank some water and to be honest i was bloated so food didnt even cross my mind.

Sherry i want to say you did awesome last night at the restaurant, girl i love fried mushrooms lol, i would have been tempted. I know when we go out to dinner, if its just me and the girls i always say no bread for the table just because my oldest is following in my footsteps and will eat it because its there and its no better for them than for me, but if there is others like my hubby or my stepmom, i ask them to bring just eneough for everyone to have just 1, im really trying to get my kids eating more healthy and besides bread is something i can just eat and eat, so its best i dont get tempted lol.

Well ladies i hope your sunday is a great one, i should of gotten up and took my butt to church this morning but i didnt, something i have really slacked on here lately, i have been having issues with churches or i should say some uncertainities about certain things about churches but i still need to go and pray about that part. Ok well i have rambled long eneough i guess i will go now, you all have a great and legal eating sunday!!!

Bread is the worst, isn't it? They left it on their side of the table... You definitely need a break...stress is one of the biggest things that triggers me to binge eat. Stay focused girl!

You and your husband look so cute together and your girls are beautiful, what a great family you have!!!

Kass - CONGRATULATIONS ON LOSING ANOTHER 2 LBS. WAY TO GOD!! You are going to enjoy your trip to Vegas and look EVEN better while you are there because you already Cute just like the rest of us on here....

Lisa - Girl you don't have to tell me about needing some ME TIME! I went to a fellowship last night with our dance ministry and had a BLAST. I NEEDED IT! I felt like I was going to SNAP, CRACKLE AND POP if I didn't get a break. That may sound selfish but it's not. If we don't make time for and take care of ourselves then we are no good to anyone. I constantly have my daughter with me because I don't have any family here to help me with her and I don't like to bother other people too much especially when they have family of their own to take care of. So, again she is with me most of the time. Here father lives 4.5 hours away so he is not an option for me to get a break. So I feel you and ENJOY YOUR TIME OUT! ENJOY!!

Catherine - Good to hear from you and I am having TOM now and just took one of those L-G to help me fight the Chocolate demon. So far it has worked. Sweets has never been a problem for me unless it that TOM. A cake will mold in my house waiting for me to eat it. Honey my weight came from fast food, eating late at night, not exercising, not drinking water and oh yes drinking that MALT LIQUOR BEER, when I use to drink it.

Ms. Sunny - You are in our prayers. We miss you and hope to hear the good report from you soon.

              Hey Ladies,

OK, SO I am taking my mom out with some other family members for her bday. She has 3 things planned for this coming week. I decided to come here and talk about the things that I am not going to do...so I have the strength and motivation to stay legal tonight. I plan to oder a diet coke instead of rum/diet coke. I know coke is not allowed, but lets keep it real. I won't survive tonight without it. I also only plan to eat legal foods.

AND SHE"S OFF!!! WIsh me luck! I will report tomorrow!

Maintaining at 198. However TOM is here so I'm grateful to be maintaining instead of gaining.

Prya, yep Kass and I will be sure to post those pics for you. I was looking at the old pics of me (age 23 at 137 lbs.) today. To think I thought I was big then (oh to be that weight right now).

Kass, hooray!!! I'm so excited and happy for you.

Lisa and Lashon, I know how you feel. I'm my baby's sole support. I love her more than life itself but sometimes breaks are nice.

Catherine, I'm with you. If you know you can't live without something....find a way to make it legal or something similar to the food. I can't do without gum. Luckily Orbit doesn't stall me (Eclipse does).

Liz!!! Hey girl, what's up with you. So happy to see you on the board!!

Sherri, where you able to get your Kia out today? I hope so. I grew up in the mountains and used to get snowed in for days. Bundle up!! That goes for you too Catherine.

Well, mi amigas!! I'm very tired and need to get my baby to bed!!

I'm sending a big shout-out to all my Derby Girls!! Goodnight!
