Hey Everyone, just checking in for the day. Thanks for the welcome Kass and Marty. Way to go on passing up the tempting food last night Kass. Every time we can just say "NO" it makes us stronger for the next time.

I had my "official" weigh in today and I lost 3.7 pounds for the week! YAY! It's about time I got a bigger number than 1. I'm getting closer and closer to Twoville and hope to make it there by my cruise in April. I moved up to rung 1 today after being on extended induction since October. It's going well so far.

Congrats on those pounds lost Glenda. I hope your work situation will get better soon.

Cat, send some of that snow my way, would ya!? Oh, and my occupation is an Elementary Special Education Teacher.

Thanks to all for your prayers. The surgery went very well this time and I can already lift my cup to my mouth, which I couldn't do for over a week the last time, and I don't have much pain at all. I think the difference is stitches and glue instead of twisted skin stapled together. The doc literally let me tell him what he was going to do this time! When I asked where he was going to put the drain, he said anywhere I wanted him to put it. I was a little leery when the anesthesiologist asked me what he was to give me and how he was to do my anesthesia! I'm usually out when he is doing his work. At any rate, he got it right. He wasn't one of my regular, specially-trained guys that know how to do the sympathetic blocks, but he did know a bit about RSD.

I was really worried yesterday, because the weather has been just awful and it was tearing my RSD up. It was real cold this morning (7 degrees), but not too bad when I came home. I had power outages yesterday from the wind, but none so far today. The wind is kicking up a bit again.

I am by myself this time, but I'm doing fine. I think I managed to put everything I will need down where I can reach it without putting my hands above my head--which I can't do for at least a week. They know me too well! They wrote those instructions in all caps and underlined it a few times!

I miss you all and hope to be back online more in a few days. I managed to make a lot of legal foods to last me for a while. Hope everyone is staying on track. I forgot to take my 'love handles' after pictures yesterday. I get to go back to the surgeon to change my dressings on Valentine's Day--how romantic!

            Sunny!

People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.

Hey--all the surgical gloves were purple today. I made them give me a couple of pair to bring home, they were so pretty!

No need to worry, now. The Quack actually did the job right today. He said my recovery would be at least three months this time, but I am already better than I was in the second week before, so I think I will be well sooner rather than longer. He did say that the drains would have to be in longer than the 12 days they were in the first time. I am not looking forward to that. It's really hard to milk the tubes and empty and measure the output by myself. But, I got-r-done!

              Sunny!

                    Sunny!

Ms. Sunny, it is so good to hear from you and that all went well with the surgery. You are a strong woman. Continue to take care of yourself and heal up.

Kass - I am so proud of you for sticking to your plan at your mother's birthday celebration. Way to go girl! The L-Glutamine does help. I have taken it three times. No, I have not tried cream cheese and splenda. I am not a fan of cheesecake. I am doing better with the splenda and mints. Thanks for asking.

Cat, Kass and any other DAISY DUKE DG - Yall can have those DD. I never could wear them. My thighs are dark on the inside from where they rubbed together so much when I was a child. I have always been embarassed about it that's why I don't wear bathing suits. But I will wear a skirt now.... Sistah has pretty, legs with big calves...lol Seriously I have always had big calves for some reason. So I won't hate on you all when you are wearing your DD. Just not to the Oprah show ok....LOL....

Glenda - I am sorry you are having to deal with the snow blues. I lived in Chicago for 11 years (the suburbs) and I understand what you are dealing with as well as the other ladies. Hang in there the sun will shine again soon.

Liz - Congratulations on your weightloss. Keep up the good work.

I apologize if I have missed anyone. It is kind of hard trying to comment on everything eventhough I would like to. I hope you all have a great evening.

BTW, I did WONDERFUL today. My co-worker keeps telling me how much weight I am losing and it is encouraging. I am still looking forward to those 20's THIS WEEK! So I can do the DCS (Derby Celebration Shuffle)

Yes I'm worn out!!! It's been a long day! I'm in my last 2 classes for my Bachelor's in Management and BOY ARE THEY DEMANDING!!!

Even on a normal day, I wake up at 4:30, leave the house by 5:15, drive 25 miles to work one way, work 6-3 (which most of the time I NEVER get to leave at 3!), try to make it to pick my son up, come home, cook, clean, come on ADBB , give the baby a bath, get the older kids ready for bed, put the baby to bed at 9pm, then finally get some time for homework, I then get to bed anywhere's between 11pm-1am.

Well, I graduate in April and my husband says he'll be happy to get me back!!

As for my job, I work for Hewlett-Packard as a Process Specialist in Managed Print Services.

I have huge calves as well. They're so huge that most of the boots that come up even a little bit on the leg don't fit. They have to have some serious elastic in it for it to fit me right!! That's ok, I'm still wearing the DDs. LOL!!

I don't know why but it's like everyone is noticing just now about my weight loss too. They're asking me how I've done it, etc. I tell them Atkins but tell them I do it the right way (by the book).

Oh, I have to send up a prayer for you right now. I can feel your fatigue!!

I have a BA in Business Administration. Funny I ended up working in Disability (don't use my degree at all). My next course of action is to get my Doctor of Naturopathy degree with an emphasis in herbology. I plan to open my own consulting business.
