So if she had a husband, how is she getting married again? Tell the envious witch that laminate cost about twice what real wood floors cost. Her's are probably pine, the cheapest there is. My brother, a builder, just covered his oak floors with laminate. Bad credit is usually the reason a person has a higher interest rate.

      Sunny!

People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.

If I get mine now she'll try to top me and brag about how much better her ring is than mine. I know it sounds stupid but this is the truth. She's done it with every other event in my life (like getting my new house) and I won't let her ruin this for me. She bought a bigger house (but she had a husband) and bragged about how her floors were "real" wood floors, etc. (I have laminate). She tried hard to get a lower interest rate than me but failed (but had an excuse for why it couldn't be lower than mine). I got my daughter a cell phone (for safety issues at her school) and she got her daughter the exact same phone but had to brag about the # that was assigned to her daughter's phone. I got a new cell phone...she turned around and bought one (never mind that she had just got one with her cell company so had to pay full price for this phone) "better" than mine so she could brag about it. Nope, I won't let her ruin this moment for me.
What on earth is this? Who in the world spends their time trying to keep up with or out do someone else. This is juvenille. What happened to just being thankful for what the Lord has blessed us with. This is one of the main reasons for ministering MIHI. It teaches that there is never a reason to be jealous of anyone or compare yourself to them. That only breeds insecurity and comparisonitis. Perhaps you can recommend to her the AWESOME book "The Disease Called Comparisonitis" by Bishop Darrell Hines. It's not expensive and can be purchased at www.darrellhines.org

ok, now that I have said that.... how are my DS doing? I am feeling better yet not a 100% yet. I haven't been eating completely on plan because of this upset stomach but I will be back on track very soon. I did lose a pound so YEA!

Katie, yes we've talked about marriage and considering we spend about 3 hours per night on the phone and have definite chemistry after meeting in person (like finishing each other sentences or saying what the other is thinking). He is so in tune with my feelings. He is my soul mate. We've talked about things that most people don't talk about within a year of dating. He knows my baby and I are a package deal (his words) and makes plans for us (as a family) when we go out. I know this sounds CRAZY. He and I have even said that this is crazy but you can't help how you feel. We're going to look at rings today.
Cat, I am truly praying for you. You are a wonderful person and this must be who God has in store for you, if your are feeling this way! I am glad that you are not rushing into marriage so you atleast have over a year to observe hi. I wish you the best...heck yeah I can make it next year to the wedding. LOL Congratulations!

I am with Sunny...does he have kids?? Does he want more kids?? Make sure you check his credit....I am serious!! Love ya

            Hi all,
I am attending a party this weekend. We are all chipping in for a Limo. We are going to go to a couple of clubs in San Francisco. I don't go to the city much anymore....hate running into people I don't want to see. LOL. I am excited because I haven't been out on the town in a long time

Ladies, I have a question I would like to pose. I wonder why so many people have stop posting in this thread? Could it be that maybe we are discussing other things too much that are not pertaining to this WOE? Please don't be offended, I know we all have to get out things that are happening in our lives from time to time (good, bad and ugly) and that's cool, because it can effect our eating, but when we constantly stay on that thing, perhaps we are not then providing the support for this WOE that so many second timers need and instead of saying something they just LEAVE. Just my observation. I could be wrong.

                  Have a good day.

I haven't been posting as I'm wicked busy right now with helping DD get her apt ready so she can move in this weekend. I'll be back in full force soon. I also believe that since Spring is here activity will be down due to everyone being busy with gardens, yard work & just plain wanting to be outside vs. sitting in front of the computer!

I love how this thread is as I feel like I'm getting to know everyone. I feel like we are long distance girlfriends. I know I can come here for help in this WOE & any other life situations.

Have a great day Derby Girls!

Sunny and Kass (and anyone else interested) : Ray has a son that is 20. He owns his own home. He has two vehicles mainly because he just bought a new car. He will be moving here after we're married (his job is in between our homes). Yes, I want another child but that is not my reason for wanting to be with this man. I could easily go out and find some dummy (like the ex fiancee and ex husband who won't leave me alone) and have a baby. LOL!! We've already discussed having another child and we've discussed the possibility of adoption as there is no guarantee I can have another child. Tashiana was my miracle baby due to the Endometriosis and now the added fibroid tumor. He does have another daughter (she was put for adoption by the mother). They were both 18 and when he refused to sign adoption papers the judge told him he'd take him to court so he didn't know what else to do but sign. We're in the process of trying to find her. He works - he's an engineer. Oh, btw Sunny, the girl was married but divorced her husband last year and is getting married again in January. Ok, I'll get off this topic because I don't want to offend anyone. If you want more info, you're welcome to PM me.

Just a quick check in. I had to be at UVA early this morning and I made a day of it. It was 83 degrees, and that side of the mountain is in full bloom. Their weather is a couple of weeks ahead of ours. Charlottesville is beautiful in the spring. I took the old US Rt. 250 all the way back home and it was just beautiful.

I had to go to the lymphedema clinic and I now have to wear the type tape that athletes use all over the lymph channels. Really weird looking--big long strips of tape up and down my arm. I have to measure my arm at 5 different places each day. They gave me a neat measuring tool that works one-handed. All of this is hard to describe, so I'll take pictures tomorrow. It appears that I will have to wear ace wraps and compression sleeves for a long time. This is something to consider for those of you that are considering a breast reduction. That's what caused the lymphedema and it's not fun. I have another appointment over there on Monday. At $3.29 a gallon for gas, these 80 mile round trips are bleeding me dry.

I'm plumb tuckered out, so I'm going to bed to read.

                          Sunny!

I was thinking the same thing. Why have we stopped posting so much and so often? Well for me, I have been very busy with other things and exhausted when I get home. I am now trying to make time to post daily. I really like YOU group of women and want us to stay as connected as we are. I think some people get excited about joining, but loose interest just as quickly.

We have seen many people come and go...But us faithful ones remain.
