Thanks Kass! No, no damage to my house and I truly PRAISE GOD for that!! When it was storming my only concern was to keep my baby safe. If it had been just me I probably would not have freaked out (on the inside) so badly. I tried to stay calm so she wouldn't be as scared. My poor baby was shaking like a leaf. It was the worst feeling ever.

        Good Afternoon Derby Sisters,

All is well in Sherriland today. TOM is around the corner. So no more weighing for this girl until he's long gone,
Sunny, I wanted you to know I have you on my mind and in my prayers. I know you're busy getting all your ducks in a row before surgery. Just know we're here for you and prayers are sent your way. Love you big sis!
Lashon, Aww, I feel your frustration. You know how I feel about that night time Hunger Monster . That L- Glutamine will take care of him. Today is day 18 for me not having anything to eat after 5 p.m. It hasn't been easy. I get to a point now where I just go to bed instead of giving into my growling stomach.
Lisa, There's something you and I have in common, looking over old menus to see where we were in our journey at the time. I can go back four years in my personal journal and tell you how much I weighed, my menu, measurements all of it. It's a great referrence for your personal journey. Kudos for keeping such a great record of your journey.
Sherry, I have a 13 year old daughter who does this woe with me. My DH pretty much does it with us only he's lean and likes a baker or rice with his meal. He's always telling me how he'd rather eat what I'm eating instead of speghetti or some other high carb food. So he pretty mush eats what DD and I eat. He likes grazing after I've gone to bed. It's his way of being supportive In DD and my WOE. It's taken four years for this to happen.
Kass, So how does it feel to be in the 70's? Miss 179! So cool Kass! You're doing so great. I've got 28.5 untill goal. Looks as though we're neck to neck here in our Kentucky Derby. At this point I'm just happy to not be gaining. I'll just be happy to reach goal when I get there. As long as I'm going the right direction. Slow and steady. Love ya
Cat, Thank God for no damage hon! Your poor baby girl so scared. Your a good mama holding it together so well. I posted this at your journal but you missed it. I had a question for you. Now that you've hit Onderland, do you still write 2 instead of 1 in front of your write? I ask because I had the toughest time with my mind to catch up to my body when it came to writing it down. When I came out of the 300's into the 200's I always said 3 like forever. I've missed you lately my Derby Sister. I've been so busy with the boards, it's hard to make it home here with my Derby sisters. Just know I'm thinking of ALL of you and always good, positive thoughts.
Hello to, Marty, Catherine, Tasha, Tracey, Bekka, Glenda, Prya, Kathy, Dorothy, and Sweets, What are you gals up to? Hope all is well with you
Well, It's 19 days cheat free, i'm still staying disciplined on my WOE. Today is day 9 without eggs. Not that I don't want any, just that I needed a break from them after eating them every day for four years. It was time for a change. I like it so far.
I have a beef roast in the oven for dinner, My daughter has rehearsal for her Drama class tonite. They're puting on a play on Valentines evening. It's called Holka Polka. It's where a Prince falls a sleep in Fairytail Land and the Fairies try to take over Fairyland. Sierra is the evil Princess Ezy. I'm looking forward to seeing it this week.
Wishing everyone a great day today. I'll check in with all of you later.
Keep up the grat work Derby Girls!
        Love ya, Sherri

I think its just a vicious cycle i know for me the evenings or nights are the hardest to get through. But remember today is a new day and a new beginning, dont be like me lol and turn a cheat into a two day or even a week binge, thats where i make my mistake. Just drink you lots and lots of water, and go walking today and im sure you wont see no gain.
Thank you Lisa for those encouraging words, and to all you ladies. Thank you. Today, I did buy the L-glutamine and took one on my way home around 3:30pm. It did help with the craving I was having. Right now, I am just hungry and about to get me something legal to eat...smile.

The good news is, in the midst of all this cheating struggle, I still managed to lose 1 lb since last week, so HALLELUJAH!! I am headed in the right direction. Actually I may have lost more than that because I forgot to weigh first thing this morning so I weighed just now when I got home but I have drank at least 32 oz of water already. So who knows how much I am really down but I am grateful I am DOWN

Wow, Cat, I can't imagine that feeling, but would have did the same thing to protect my baby. I am just glad you all are ok.

Lisa, good job on adjusting your menu and not giving up. Look at you

Sherri, that is GREAT news about your daughter's weightloss. There are other teenagers that need to do the same thing. I wish someone would have taught me this WOE when I was younger and I probably wouldn't have gotten to be as large as I did. I have to keep an eye on my baby because she loves bread and already has hips and butt. As a matter of fact, she came out with HIPS AND BUTT....seriously she did...lol I hope your daughter does well in rehearsal.

BTW, does anyone know where Ms. Sunny is, or am I just missing her postings?

              Hello Lashon,
I believe you mistook me for Sherry, I'm, the other derby sister, SherrI.
Thank you for your kind words about my daughter and doing this WOE with me. She does quite well on Atkins.
I actually go into her school and teach the children there how to read food lables and teach them how many sugars to watch for when reading food lables. It's so wonderful because they're so full of questions. So inquisitive. I always bake up a sugar free yummy suprise for them after the class. I never tell them that there's no sugar in it untill there done. They're always pleasantly suprised. Teach them when they're young so they can carry it with them for a healthier tomorrow.
My daughter has the hips, butt and thighs going on for her. Thank goodness she has my height going for her.

Sorry about that Sherri. I believe I have the name corrected now. Thanks for letting me know and I think it is WONDERFUL what you are doing to educate those children.

Good evening!! I hope you all had a great day.

Sherri, no I don't have a hard time writing 1 instead of 2. I've waited for so long for this moment that I'm just scared something is going to come and snatch it away. You see I always seem to cave when I get close to goal and self-sabotage. I really think it stems back to the childhood abuse and protecting myself. However, I'm determined to make it this time. Tashiana mimics me on her own. She takes the burger off the bun and only eats the burger now. She's so funny. She'll get a food item and come in and say, "Mom, this has this # of carbs in it. Can you eat it?" I just wonder if she goes to school and tells them I don't eat carbs.

Kass, you're kicking major butt at Curves!! Those daisy dukes are just around the corner.

Sherry, what did you end up eating for lunch since your DH ate your food? Men....

Lashon, my baby inherited my shape. However, I wasn't big until I had to go on BC pills for Endometriosis. I'm praying to spare her the misery. I am hoping to get this degree (get my butt in gear) so I'll be armed with knowledge of natural alternatives for better health. I'm hoping to get some pics scanned soon.

Lisa, I've had two laparoscopic surgeries. I've battled cysts and Endometriosis since I was a teenager. For the last 6 years I've also battled a fibroid tumor. I have to go every 6 months for an ultrasound to monitor the fibroid. It will all turn out ok. They used to give me meds to dissolve the cysts. Ask you doc about that option.

Marty, where in the heck are ya? Ok girls, let's round up the posse for our missing Derby Girls.

Sunny, if you're reading this. I miss ya!! You're in my prayers!

Prya, Glenda, Catherine (are you snowed in), Bekka, Dorothy, Tracey (planning that wedding?), and Kathy - where are ya? I'm pulling out the big guns!!

If I missed someone, I'm sorry!!

Have a good night!! I'm worn out. TOM is kicking my butt!

Well, it is day 12 for me cheat free. My mom's Bday is on Monday. We will probably do something on Monday and next Friday we are giving her and my aunt a party. I really want to stay true to my plan. I will stay true to my plan!

I made an atkins pizza. It came out really well

                        PIZZA
I used mozarella cheese and cheddar melted it on medium in a non stick pan.
I softened the mushrooms in the microwave and heated up some chicken breast and put it on top. Take off stove and let cool. Yummy.

Key is to let it cool before removing so that it holds it's shape.

Hi ladies, how is everyone? Me im doing great, i actually got tempted to order pizza because me and my youngest were having us a girls night why my hubby is working and my other daughter is spending the night with her nana, i talked myself out of it again thats the second time this week i have talked myself out of a cheat, and you know what it feels great. I know im only one bite away from going down a downwards spiral and i just keep telling myself that. So instead i made me a steak with onions and bellpeppers, and a side of okra that i sauteed in olive oil. YOu know i only use to eat okra if it had breading on it but i really like it without the breading sauteed in olive oil, it is better to be honest, you actually get to taste the okra over all that bread.
I also have a headache that just is stuck there, i think it is a way of my body detoxing itself, i think im finally dying off some of those yeasties. I wish i would have dont the spit test i read about, but i just did the questionaire and going from past experience with cutting out certain foods i know what my body likes even if my mind is trying to fool me into cheating lol.
I also want to say i think you all are a fantastic group of women and i love coming here and reading all of the post and see how you all are doing. I am so glad to have joined, i was getting discouraged in my journal lol, i wasnt getting that many visitors and i really love the support that is here. Wanted to share this from my daily meditation book:

"We have seen to much defeatism, too much pessimism, too much of a negative approach. The answer is simple: if you want something very badly, you can achieve it.
