      Good Morning Derby Girls!

I had a great time at the baby shower! I had intended to eat lunch before going but only had a snack. The food was Atkin friendly so the indulged & enjoyed. The cake was beautiful by of no interest to me.

Today is clean the house day along with laundry. I took tomorrow off & I'm doing what I want to do vs house stuff.

      Have a great day everyone!

Good morning my Derby buds!! How is everyone today? I'm feeling at peace today. Thank God. I will be staying in today because we're having winds up to 45 mph. I so don't like wind. I think I'd rather have snow. I don't know what's up with the freaky weather here lately. We need to be in prayer. It feels like the end times are here with the freaky weather and all the crazy people (like at that University). It makes me afraid for my baby and how it will be when she gets older.

Sherri, you were right. I believe God is clearing up everything (ex husband and my brother) so that better things can come into my life. I feel like a heavy load has been lifted off of me since he's been gone. Sad, but true. I just found out from his ex-girlfriend that he was drunk the other night (acting a fool) after he called me apologizing and promising he'd never drink again. As I suspected, it was ploy to try to get back into my house (which will never happen again). I'm getting ready to email him and tell that as long as he doesn't acknowledge his sickness and go to a rehab that won't release him until they think he's ready to be released, he can't see my little girl. Alcoholism is a horrible disease. As, I've told you all...I had a horrible childhood and I don't care if it means cutting off family, my little girl WILL NOT have the same childhood I had. I won't allow it. No man, no family member, no one is worth it. She's my heart and I'll protect her always. I don't mind if others drink....just don't do it in my house or come in my house after you've recently drunk it.

Lisa, have you got started on your vitamins yet? The L-glutamine saved me so much in the beginning. The L-carnitine was also good. Dr. Atkins stated that if you can't get into ketosis that you're probably deficient in the L-carnitine. I didn't take the chance that I might be deficient...I took it anyway. I avoid sweets (even sweetened with Splenda) now because my body doesn't really care if it's fake sugar...I still want more.

Sunny, how are you today? How did your doc visit go? I'm sorry that you had to go on Valentine's Day.

Kass, how are you girl? Still going cheat-free? How many days has it been? 20? I'm so proud of you my friend.

Marty, how are you smokin' granny? I can't wait to see the 160s. How does it feel? Oprah is just around the corner.

Lashon, what's up girl? Have you tamed those cheat demons (more like have you beat them down)? I know it's stressful (being the single mommy). Every time I pour her a bowl of cereal I want to stick my whole face in the box. Cereal was my major weakness.

Glenda, great job staying legal at the babyshower and not eating the cake. They had a huge cake at the party yesterday. It was from Wal-Mart and they make the best icing. I politely passed and once it was out of sight, it truly was out of mind. It's not worth it to go back to where I was.

Liz, I hope you're having a great time on your trip and staying legal.

Catherine, I hope you're doing ok? Did you know anyone at the University? It's just sad and breaks my heart and makes me want to keep my baby by my side.

Kathy, oh my gosh it was so much fun. I felt like a big kid. However, the little ones all crashed me on the bumper cars. I was the target. They all found it very amusing to crash the mommy.

Sherry, if I haven't said it before, congrats on your weight loss. You're doing awesome!!

Tracey, Bekka, Dorothy, and Prya... where are you? I hope you're all okay.

If I forgot someone, please don't be upset. It was not intentional.

Now that my life is getting back in order, I promise to not be such a stranger.

Oh, btw....I'm down to 194 pounds. I guess walking 1.5 hours last night paid off (even if my butt cheeks are screaming in pain). LOL!!

Cat....Which rung are you on? I am following your lead...you are loosing like crazy. I just started rung 1, adding more veggies.

Well I thought I'd be at my mini goal of 175, but I am holding on at 176. I don't know if it was due to TOM last week or too much cream cheese. After considering my portions, I think I eat too much of it. I am cutting it out for this week to see if it is a contributor to my slow loosing.

            Have a Happy Sunday ladies!

I eat from all the rungs except rung 9, alcohol rung, and fruit rungs. I've been eating white potatoes every day this week and thus far they seem to be ok with me (in fact, I lost 4 pounds this week). I don't eat a whole potato at once - about 1/2 a small potato. I tend to eat green beans and a salad every day. I haven't had much of an appetite here lately (stress). I can eat peanuts and eat them daily (sometimes more than 2 oz.)...I know .... bad me! Almonds and cream cheese stall me. There goes the pound cake and cheesecake. LOL!! I'll save those for maintenance.

Good Evening ladies...(Good morning to central and East coast)

Kass, I love that picture.. You are going to look hotter than that in June!! I have been going through my pictures and can't seem to find pictures when I looked good.. only my fat photos.. I usual plan it where I'm behind the camera..

My weekend was wonderful. We found a resturant in Ft. Collins that had to die for steak. If I was rich I could eat there once a week and be happy... of course when something is that good.. there is always something that is "weird".. that would be the salad... Asked for a mixed green.. it was mixed alright, I am just not sure with what!!!! Think I'll stay with the lettuce wedge next time.
However, the best part of my weekend was when I was getting dressed to go out to dinner (wearing the outfit I wore to my DS's wedding in 11/05 and the last time I wore it I couldn't zip it up all the way ) and my DH told me how good I looked and he could tell that my WOE was working for me. Don't get me wrong, he has always been supportive of my woe and helping keep me on track but he really has never told me much. I think it's the "gentlemen" thing about not discussing a woman's weight.

As you can see it's late and I still have to work on a scout ceremony for Friday night.

Hugs and Congrats for all my Derby Girls. You guys are awesome sisters.

Yesssssss I do and Jackee' was MY GIRL! I loved the way she dressed. That's how I used to dress in highschool. Girl like I was going to a fashion show or somewhere. I got best dressed Senior c/o 1987. Thanks for reminding me of that show. I needed that flashback today, as I had a long day and didn't get much sleep last night which didn't help at all. It is 4pm here and I am already home and in my jammies......proof that I am tired. I will check in more tomorrow with you ladies.
