    Hi Ladies, just checking in real quick. I am on day 2 of a candida cleanse way of eating and i am doing pretty good with it. I sat here over the weekend and was reading my journal on here and realized i have gone way backwards instead of forwards and it really made me sad. I said well i will just take my kids out to eat on sunday and start on monday, and something inside of me kept nagging at me about why keep putting it off. So yesterday i went ahead and said ok today is going to be day one, and it was hard, im not going to lie, but it got easier, i did take a
    l-glutanine around 4pm since that is when my cravings kick in. The thing with me is i really never binged on sweets like donuts or cookies my cravings comes in the form of pizza, fast food, bread period but the l-glutanine helped me, which i wasnt sure at first since people were saying it helps with sugar cravings.
    I also started all my supplements yesterday as well, and i have to say they make me not hungry when i take them, as soon as i take them i feel bloated, not sure what that is about, and i even have gained in these 2 days 7lbs, maybe its just water weight.
    Well i also wanted to say my hubby said lets go to bfast this morning and usually when im only one day in i will say ok im going to just eat whatever i just started so i can go for it, but i didnt do that, we went to ihop and i ordered there steak omelette, made from fresh eggs, no pancake batter in case you didnt know they do add it to make them fluffier, so no batter, no mushrooms which i love but since im battling yeast, no cheese, no hashbrowns, i added extra steak since they dont put much on there to begin with, extra onions and green peppers and added spinach to it and i have to say it was really good, very filling and legal, i gave my pancakes to my daughter so i feel a little good about that.
    Ok im rambling lol, and where is everyone, i dont see a lot of you all posting like there was, everyone busy with life i guess, i know im going to be on and off this week because my youngest is out of school so that means both kids home all day long. Well i will check in later on!!! Have a great MOnday everyone!!!

        Yesssssss I do and Jackee' was MY GIRL! I loved the way she dressed. That's how I used to dress in highschool. Girl like I was going to a fashion show or somewhere. I got best dressed Senior c/o 1987. Thanks for reminding me of that show. I needed that flashback today, as I had a long day and didn't get much sleep last night which didn't help at all. It is 4pm here and I am already home and in my jammies......proof that I am tired. I will check in more tomorrow with you ladies.
        I thought she (Jackee) was the sexiest woman alive. Back then there weren't many African American women in those roles so she was my true idol. What a flashback!

            Hey Derby girls!

            I am home from my weekend in Savannah and had a great time! I'm happy to report that I did not cheat at all and managed to lose 2.4 pounds this week! YAY! That puts me at 319, finally in the 3teens. I'm getting so close to the 200's! I have the whole week off for Mid-Winter break so my plans for today are to shop for some new cute outfits for my cruise in April and to hit the gym this evening for Kick class. I went last night for 2 hours. I took Power (ouch!) and Kick. I'm feeling a little sore this morning.

            Lisa, glad to see you're back on track. Way to go on eating on plan at IHOP! Each little food victory we have only makes us stronger. Just take things day by day, meal by meal... you can SO do this!!

                Good Morning DG's - Just checking in.

                I really enjoyed my long weekend. I wish I had a 3-day weekend EVERY weekend.

                I've decided that I have to get to the gym this week... Everybody help give me that boost I really need. I keep using the excuse that there isn't enough time. (There really isn't) but I need to make time... Even if it's just for 30 min on the treadmill...

                Hope everyone elses day is going well. Talk to you all later.

                  Good Morning Derby Girls!! Just checking in this morning. I hope you all are having a great day. Me myself im feeling pretty good, on day 3 of clean eating and have my day planned out for today. Im right there with you sher i need to go to the gym myself or just get to moving in some way or another.
                  Well i hope you all have a great day today, im going to get my house back in order, we cleaned all the carpet in our house yesterday and most of my furniture is in the garage that goes in my living room.

                      I'm so proud of everyone here! You all are doing Fantastic!
                      I was headed to town this a.m. My plans have changed. DH was up early today sick with flu. So anything I had to do today in town I can put off till tomorrow. Just call me Nurse Sherri for the day I'll be back later. I have a suprise for all of you later. Oh, by the way, no weight change for me yet. I'm still the same. No worries here. I'm consistant with my woe and in the Atkins Flow. Today is day 30 Cheat Free days!

                        30 days cheat free is AWESOME!! You go girl.

                        I've been doing better with 3 meals a day...no snacks except Orbit gum which I chew like a maniac. I do eat after 5 though (because I get off work so late). So far so good. I can't eat snacks with Splenda. My body doesn't care that it's fake sugar....it wants more. Since I've cut out snacking, I'm not hungry and have to make myself eat at times. I never thought I'd say that.

                          Congrats on making it 3 days. It will get easier each day that you stay cheat-free. I promise.

                            I wish I could help. I bought a 2-year membership one time thinking it would make me go. NOT!! I didn't go the first nine months and then went for 3 months after that and moved. I bet they enjoyed that free money. I do better exercising on my own. However, if you need other people to get motivated to exercise then the gym is your best bet.

                              Just have a minute to pop in and say hey to all my DG sisters! Looks like ya'll are doing great! I went out of town for the weekend and blew my plans out the window (/sigh) but I'm back to the grocery store tonight to stock up on legal goodies.

                                Just need to share my good news of the day...I lost 3.8#!

                                Things are looking up here...I'm feeling better, DH is going back to his old job~more money, DD is doing well, DS is making plans to move back home from TX, & the boss lady is at a conference for 2 days!!!
