I ended up running some errands on my lunch hour and picked up this salad from the coney by my work. (Lettuce, cucumbers, ham, turkey, bacon, cheese, ranch)

Then later in the evening (I bowl on Friday nights) I had a few chicken wings and then after bowling we went to coney and I had a cheese omelet with a side of bacon.

It was funny, my husband went bowling with me to watch (He usually never comes with me, he usually at home with the kids) then after bowling we went to coney island and I ordered the cheese omelet with the side of bacon, he ordered the fish and chips, but then had my plate of hash browns and my plate of toast in front of him.

He had all these plates in front of him, and here I was with just one lil plate...it was funny

Hope you all have a great day!!!! Oh yeah I bowled 215, 188, 203

Morning All ~ a quick check in for me. We are mostly plowed out...have to go to work shortly. TOM is knocking at my door as well but my *crazy* weightloss has just shown up - down 2.4 this morning for no apparent reason. ???? Once TOM arrives I won't weigh til he's gone.

Love Glenda's motivational quote but could use some warmer sunny days to go with it.

speaking of sun, my thoughts are with Sunny as she prepares for surgery. And with all of you - everyone is looking G O O D!

I know im only one bite away from going down a downwards spiral and i just keep telling myself that. So instead i made me a steak with onions and bellpeppers, and a side of okra that i sauteed in olive oil. YOu know i only use to eat okra if it had breading on it but i really like it without the breading sauteed in olive oil, it is better to be honest, you actually get to taste the okra over all that bread.
I also have a headache that just is stuck there, i think it is a way of my body detoxing itself, i think im finally dying off some of those yeasties. I wish i would have dont the spit test i read about, but i just did the questionaire and going from past experience with cutting out certain foods i know what my body likes even if my mind is trying to fool me into cheating lol.

Hooray Lisa! I'm so proud of you for not cheating. It will get easier over time. Yes, that headache is a result of your body detoxing. It will be worth it in the long run.

Hi ladies, how is everyone doing? Ok you all are going to shoot me or im going to shoot myself. My day started off so good, i took my daughter to IHOP and sat there and talked myself into ordering the steak omelette with real eggs, no hashbrowns or cheese and i told them not to add the pancake batter that they usually do to make them fluffy, but i added extra tomatos, green peppers and onions, and i gave my pancakes to my daughter. Well i was so proud of myself, so why in the world would i sabatoge myself with Captain D's and i now i feel miserable . Im not going to keep myself down im just going to keep on going on, i still have not had cheese or processed meats at least. I also have a boil or a risen coming up, i saw it this morning, god i have not had one of these in almost 2yrs, im wondering if it has anything to do with me detoxing or not, im trying to get a hold of it before it gets big, so i have been putting hot compressess on it, man i hate these things, i use to never get them, and my stepson had a case of them one time and i had to help him clean his and even though i used gloves ever since i have had 4 and this one will make 5 but it has been 2yrs since the last one. Well i dont have much more to say, im going to have a pity party all on my own lol, no i know what i got to do, i have been chugging my water down and im bloated as i can be, and i hate this feeling, so hopefully the feeling will be gone tomorrow with some clean eating.

Cat--I'm so glad that ya'll made it through safely and with no damage. You and Kass will have to post pics with those purple daisy dukes!! It's wonderful that your daughter is learning better eating habits with you

Kass--Saturdays are the best day of the week imo . Hope that your weight goes even further down for the ticker update tomorrow!

Glenda--That is a great quote, exactly what I needed to hear today.

Sherri--It must be so nice to be sharing this woe with your daughter, especially with DH being so supportive. That play sounds really fun, tell your daughter to "break a leg!"

Lisa--You can get back on the wagon! And remember the crappy way you feel now next time you're tempted to cheat so it'll help you stay away from the bad stuff!

Catherine--Glad to see that you're okay after all that snow and sending you some good thoughts of sunny CA weather!

Sunny--My thoughts and prayers are with you as you get ready for your surgery. We miss you around here, hope you recover quickly and well.

Sherry--Those are fabulous bowling scores! I'm lucky when I get any pins down at all . Congrats on staying legal even with all that other stuff around too, I'm sure it'll pay off for you.

Lashon--Grats on the loss!! Those 20's are just around the corner now. Your daughter is precious! So many cuties running around for my derby sisters makes me feel like my family just grew by a LOT

Hey to Marty, Dorothy, Bekka, Tracey, and Kathy! Hope ya'll are doing well, come by and let us know soon!

I joined the gym yesterday and have my first 1 on 1 trainer session tomorrow. Looking forward to some good structure to my workouts, though it takes a lot to get over the nervous/embarassed feeling of going to the gym. This morning I got some blood drawn for tests (routine stuff); hopefully the numbers will be good!

Off to make some shrimp scampi and faux rice for dinner, have a great night ladies!

                          Good Evening Ladies,

Cat, Hi Sweetie, I have some jean Daisy Dukes that I was in at goal. When I get there again I'll take a picture of myself and send it to you.
I also wanted you to know that I do the same thing when I'm at goal. I feel very vulnerable when I'm smaller. It also stems from the malestation and attempted rape in my teens. It's the cause of my emotional eating as well. Only now I've been able to peel the layers off and am able to deal with it head on. We'll get through this together sis. Love ya
Kass, Hows my girl? Besides smoken those machines at curves. You go girl! I see you around on the board in journals and see how supportive you are. You help so many here. I just want you to know how appreciated you are.
Lisa, Yes, your body is detoxing. Thats how the toxin leave us. Through risens or boils. Especially if you have a history of them. My face breaks out when I detox. Like I'm going through my second puberty.
Yes, girl, just make sure the next bite you take is Atkins friendly. Sounds like you've picked yourself up, dusted yourself off and are on your way again to goal. Proud of you!
Glenda, Thank you for that quote from Margo Jones. I can atest that it takes Patience, hard work, struggles and time to get where I am today. I still have faith that I will continue on this journey as well. Thank you for putting it in perspective for me.
Prya, Thank you, I am so proud of my daughter. Today is day 7 of her getting back on track. She was a trooper when she went through her detox. The wonderful thing is that she new exactly what was going on with her physically through her detox. I've walked her through it before. She hasn't gone off plan once this week. I asked her if she wanted to weigh this morning and she said "no, I'll wait untill monday with you", " you know mom, it's not good to weigh yourself every day" Out of the mouths of babes. Yes, my DH is very supportive. When Sierra went to her rehearsal friday, I made DH cookies and put them away so Sierra isn't tempted. DH snacks on them when she goes to bed not to tempt her. I've been making her Atkins friendly dessert all this week. Tonite she had a fruit plate for dessert.
Lashon, WOOT! WOOT! on the 3 pounds gone forever hon. Great job. How's your L-Glutamine working for you? Has it made a difference for you in the evening? Here's to the 20's in your near future!
Marty, Sunny, Youre both in my thoughts and prayers.
Hello to Catherine, Tasha, Tracey, Bekka, Kathy,Dorothy, Sweets, and Sherry.
Today was a good day. Tomorrow I'm getting back on track with my exercise. I'm so behind on my minutes for a challenge. I better get my booty in gear. My thyroid medication is finally kicking in slowly but surely. I noticed I was feeling better today. It's time to exercise. I've got trails to hike this spring.
                          Today I ate-
Breakfast- 2 egg scramble, turkey ham steak, decaf, water.
Lunch- can sardines, sliced cucumber, water
Dinner, chicken fingers breaded in pork rind and Parmesian cheese, steamed brocolli, salad w/ olive oil & vinegar. Water
No eating between meals and after 5 p.m.
Wishing all of you a wonderful Low Carb Sunday tomorrow.
                          Love ya, Sherri

Good Morning all Derby Girls! It's Sunday and although the weekend isn't quite over yet, I am proud to say I made it through another Friday and Saturday night staying Atkins friendly.

It's always the temptation of going out to eat on weekends, and being out and about that used to get me.

I already posted about Friday night's foods on here staying Atkins friendly, but then we went out for my husbands birthday yesterday at his favorite seafood place where it is table served all you can eat.

My food choices at the restaurant last night were:
1 Salad Bar trip (lettuce, onions, peppers, cucumbers, chz, egg, bacos, ranch)
5 chicken wings (Roadhouse Style: just broiled with seasonings and hot sauce)
London Broil (med rare, and delicious)
                              Shrimp Scampi (in garlic butter)
2 bites of my sister's lobster tail (MMMMM)

I didn't eat ANY of the bread at the table, NONE of the fried mushrooms and onion rings they bring out as an appetizers!

After dinner, we went bowling (yes we are a bowling family!!) and I ate nothing else for the whole night!!! Not sure if you all know, but bowling alleys are VERY temptrous (sp?). All of the batter dipped deep fried foods, french fries, etc... It may not be much to some...but it's the little accomplishments like these that I do where I know it usually tempts me that make me pleased.

Sunday morning ...Sent the kids off to church with the In-Laws, I've downed a big jug of water, had 3 eggs with cheese, 8 sausage links, coffee, I'm going back and forth doing homework and laundry. I'm so excited I've made it 10 days now there's no stopping me!!!

                              PS - I bowled 178, 214, 203

Catrenia (purplecat) - hey kiddo, good for you on not caving to the emotional eating - that's a tough trap to get out of

Prya - how'd the 1:1 trainer session go? Before my car accident I used a personal trainer - loved him and he sure kept me motivated

Kassoria - girl, way to GO...burn up that circuit and the 170's...dreaming

Glenda (OzLover) - keep those quotes coming....spring is far away today (-2 right now)

                                Sherri (Motherearth) - you're so inspirational...thank you

Lisadallasr-Lisa - good for you facing the dr.'s appt. As far as the self-sabotage, I think we've all been there. Got to do this WOE one day (or one MOUTHFUL) at a time ; and what a handsome family! Your girls are adorable!

Sherry (sher801) - wow, you're a good bowler! and it sounds like you're right on track too

Lashon (FLSunShine) - glad the l-glutamine is working for you...I've got the chocolate cravings (preTOM) and the the glutamine ain't gonna work unless i dip it in the chocolate

Tracey (thinsoon) - I'm guessing you're as frozen solid as we are...more snow on Monday. What did you decide about your wedding venue? Date? nosey, aren't I?

Kathy - have I missed your latest posts? How's it Going?

Marty - you must be too exhausted to post?

                                Becca - missing you too...?

Dorothy - how's Curves going? miss you.

Did I forget anyone? Hope everyone will check in

Its cold as here today: -2, windchill still at -30. My poor hens are laying frozen eggs .

True to form, Mr. Scale has let go of several lbs so I'm 5 lbs above my mini goal for 2/14. But I only need to lose 4 lbs to make it an even 20lbs in 2 months....TOM is banging at the door though. I'm trying to accept that weight loss isn't 'linear'...but shoot...

Also back on the treadmill after my tumble. My left leg is still burning but there's no bump (clot) so....it seems that walking slower WITH an incline burns more calories for me and is a better metabolism burner so I'm working it.

I've decided (after nearly 2 months) that I can't/don't want to live without an occasional chocolate. So I'm trying some LC chocolate recipes today: SF Sheila's fudge and Geo. Stella's truffles. I'll FREEZE them (yeah, leave on the front stoop...) so portion control is less of an issue. I'm taking the l-glutamine but it doesn't seem to help in this area. Maybe I need to take more of it?

Am planning on lazing around a bit today in front of a roaring fire...reading the Sunday papers...hope everyone has a GOOD WEEK
