Re: Kentucky Derby . . . . . . Keeping on Track
Working..... I can not access this bulletin board from work. For some strange reason they have it blocked. So I have to wait until I get home to access the board.
How is everybody doing? I am having a pretty good day. Right now I feel kind of weak and about to cook dinner. I think I will have steak and veggies. I hardly ever eat steak. I may have steak twice a year if that.
I will check back later.

They better think again!
. I definately won't take the last 200 feet hand over hand climb. It really gets narrow at the top. I'm just gonna kick back and enjoy the view, no matter how high I go. In the fall there isn't this kind of snow on it. There's a glacier on top but doesn't prevent you to climb. It's on the east side.We climb the west side. The base of the trail is back behind the mountain on the west side, by that lake called Diamond Lake there in the pic. This view is on the east side on the other side of the cascades. I'm on the west side of the cascades. The other side doesn't look quite as rugged as this shot, there in the picture. I also wanted to mention that the trail at the base of the mountain is just above the 5,000 feet level. I'll just be climbing a few thousand feet.
