    Morning everyone. The scale is finally moving in my second week. I am now down to 191. I am so happy I could scream. A total loss of 12lbs. Can't wait to be in my eighties.

    I am on my way to curves this morning. Last night I did a Hip Hop aerobic program On Demand. On Demand is a part of the cable service in which you can pull up shows at anytime and it provides a wide selection of programs. The exercise programs have improved ( a lot). If you have On Demand.....try them.

    Hey Catrina, I also found Turbo Sculpt on demand. I didn't find Turbo Jam but will keep my eye out for it. I really want to try it.

      Hey there, I've been having a tough time. I gave into my temptation and had my flax meal muffin! It's not induction friendly, I know. I'm back on though! SCALESCI- Glad you liked the tuna recipe. I wish our Curves was closer. It's about 50 miles away. With these gas prices the way they are, I really have to conserve, dang it. YESTERSDAY- BREAKFAST: 2 egg, 4 slice turkey bacon, decaf w/ hvy crm & 1 splenda. LUNCH: 2 baked chick leg, mashed cauliflower. DINNER: burger steak, fried parmesian zuchinni, mixed green salad w cuc, black olives & ranch. 100 oz water. DESSERT: Flax meal muffin w/ choc cream ch frosting & walnuts, decaf w/ heavy crm. ( could have been worse, but still, no excuses)!

        That is awesome Kassoria!! I'm so happy for you!!


        I'm PMS'ng so bad. I was on Seasonique (4 periods a year) because of the fibroid tumor and Endometriosis but people are having strokes and dying because of it...I just stopped it. Now, being faced with a monthly period is not a nice thought for me (not only because of the labor-like cramps but because of the cravings associated with this time of the month). I wanted CARBS soooo bad today. I didn't want to give in to the Oreo cookies lying on my kitchen table. So, I got online and went to Linda's website. I made some Mock French toast (yeah it looks like pancakes). It hit the spot.
        It's 6 carbs for 4 pancakes (only made 3 because I knew I was going to eat them all). I figured it was the lesser of the evils (Oreo cookies) and now I'm not craving carbs anymore.

        P.S. It's induction friendly (per Linda's website).

          Hey Sherri/Catrina,
          don't be hard on yourselves. You are still sticking to low carb items. Everynight I make a flax meal cookie. It is sweet and it hits the spot. That is how I've been dealing with my cravings. It's legal and only 1 carb.

          At least you didn't bindge on cake or something totally off the scale.

            Hey Sherri, I see that you too were having cravings. Glad to see that we made it through.

            Thanks Kassoria for your support. After I had the Mock French toast I was ok. The moments before the French toast was pure torture. Pre-period hormones are EVIL!!

              Good luck today with eating the right foods. I am on my way to Six Flags theme park with my family. I have no desire to have a funnel cake...plus their fummel cakes suck!!! That will help me a lot.

                Hello, hello, hello! Had a great day today! My daughter and I went to sell raffle tickets for her trip to disney with her choir class. We sold over $100.00 worth of raffle tickets so far. Anywho, Thank you SCALSKL for your suport. I didn't really feel as though I messed up because it WAS Atkins friendly. Hehe. My situation is similar to yours. Three and a half years ago I began Atkins and lost 155 lbs. I've kept all the weight off except these thirty pounds that I gained and my body is holding onto for dear life. I've come far enough to realize that this is not a diet, but a lifestyle. Everything is automatic in my mindset on what's allowed and what's not. Sometimes I get into trying situations as far as temptation and have had to use good rationalization skills, or not, to come to healthier conclusions. So by saying this, I will continue to use all that I have learned in this lifestyle, to pay it forward, and always be open to suggestion and opinions of others as I go through this journey. I'm healthier and happier because of it! I hope you enjoy the recipes hon, take care! PURPLECAT-Yes, CRAVINGS! Yikes, My tom is coming up and man, I wanted chocolate and something uuuy-gooy good. So I made myself a flax muffin with chocolate cream cheese frosting w/ walnuts, and it hit the spot. Hehe. Feeling in control once more.                   Hey everyone! I'm going to be quick. I've been cooking for the past 3 hours (so tired). I'm trying Linda's meatloaf recipe and a broccoli quiche for this week. My new veggie for the week will be cauliflower. I just bought a food processor today (trying to figure out how it works).

                  Kassoria, are you doing the veggie challenge? I hope you did well on your outing today!!

                  Sherri, I'm over here LOL because I see that you, too, only had meat for lunch. We must be going through the same cycles with the cravings (my cheat was induction friendly as well).

                  Today's stats: 72 oz. of water (not so good today...on the go).

                  Breakfast:
                  -Bacon
                  -Eggs

                  Lunch:
                  -2 beef patties with mayo (no bun)

                  Dinner:
                  -Broccoli with cheese
                  -Baked Chicken
                  -Salad
                  -Ranch Dressing

                  Not much food but I was on the go (grocery shopping, etc.). Still, I wasn't starving (thank God).

                    HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!!!!


                    I finished my induction Sunday.... 8.5lbs lighter. Not bad. I think I'm going to stay on for a little while longer. I'm not craving too much of anything which is good, but not losing as I did years ago. I think my body is confused since I haven't been eating very much lately. Got to learn to prepare ahead better than I do. Need to be as disiplined as you Caternia. But Sunday was my only day off this week and other things than cooking needed my atten.

                    I'd better quit whinning now and go to work.....

                      Catrina: No I'm not doing the veggie challenge, but I am trying to eat atleast 12carbs or more a day.

                      I have started to drink a few sips of diet soda because I am having caffine withdrawls.......really bad headaches. I can't wait it out. The headaches are too bad.

                        Way to go Marty!! I'm so happy for you!! BTW, I'm only so disciplined to cook because I get up and leave too early and get home too late to do any real cooking through the week.

                        Kassoria, I'm sorry that you're having withdrawals. I'd offer some words of wisdom but unfortunatly I'm allergic to caffeine (causes me bad stomach pain) and it has kept me clear of sodas and coffee that contain it. A girl at work tried to stop drinking Starbucks and ended up with migraines. Can you wean yourself off of it? I hope you feel better soon!! Anyone else know what to do to help?

                          Thank you Caternia You always seem to know when I need to hear good things... How in the world do you drink all that water??? I hate water and have been making myself drink it, but can't make myself drink that much. Shoot, I'm afraid to make make myself drink much of anything and take what appetite that i do have.

                            I think I will try to wean myself off. I quit cold turkey and well...you know it's hard for addicts to just stop. LOL. I will try to just takes a few sips a day. I've been drinking tons of water and had hopes this would help. Thanks for the advice.

                                I've decided NOT to do the diet pill study....Hubby and I liked Atkins too much and I could not stay on it if I was going to do the study. Soooo..... Here we go again!!
