    Re: STAC Inductioneers!

    awesome job you guys!

I think I'm going to make a cheesecake today, if I have time. I figured out that if I cut it into 16 pieces, it makes figuring out the cheese count for the day a snap.

now if this flu would go away, I'd be great! grrrr. /end of trifecta of whining posts, hahaha

      Re: STAC Inductioneers!

      Hi Kelly,

I weighed in and lost 3 pounds. I'm happy - it isn't as stunning as the first time around but I don't think the first week is so spectacular - 3-4 days is spent getting into ketosis so this week should be better. I'm hoping for a 5 lb loss this week (with good food control) and daily exercise. That would give me a total of 8 lbs for the 2 weeks. I think the very first time I did atkins I lost 12 lbs in 2 weeks.

And you? No, I think you are waiting until next week right?

Anyhow, I'm thrilled because I've been stuck at 190 for a while now. This challenge is just what I needed plus a new, clean induction. If I can make my challenge goal I would be just so so happy.

But man, the time is flying by!!! March will just disappear. I have so much to get done this month. Took this weekend to organise myself and get all the 'errandy' things done so I can hit the ground running Monday. Kids will be taking a backseat this month.

What about the other guys? Did anyone else weigh after week 1 induciton?

        Re: STAC Inductioneers!

Okay - I know you guys are way ahead of me...but today is my day. I am starting over on induction and this is day one.

I have vowed to give up pre-shredded cheese on this journey. I know, you cant believe I havent done this already. But for convience sake I had just been using it anyway. Well, I am here to say that I bought a block of cheese only this weekend.

I need to get some additional low carb friendly foods in my fridge. There isn't really anything in there right now, except for eggs. - I am one of those people that couldn't survive without them.

Coffee... I hear you guys talking about giving up your Diet Coke...but my coffee doesn't have anything in it at all. I drink a total of two cups a day - how bad is it really?

I plan on exercising this Wed. I am going to get back in the pool... slow and steady, but I am going to take the big plunge. It is the only form of exercise that I truly enjoy so why not.

I hope you guys don't mind my crashing... Restart weight 215 03/02/2009

welcome to the thread! you're on your second time around, and starting induction, so you belong here.

do you put anything in your coffee? is it decaf? I think that diet coke is being given up to avoid caffeine. and aspartame.

hopefully I can get in some exercise today! this stupid flu is ruining my life! hahahaha!

            Re: STAC Inductioneers!

oh no there is definatly caffine in there. But I just talked to the coffee lady here at work and she brought in some great herbal tea for me to try. Might as well see if I can get off on the right foot.

I went and picked up a salad for lunch today - cuz I was starving and they screwed it up. My lettuce was grose...all brown and yucky. I couldn't believe it. Luckily one of the guys had some lettuce here at work and shared. Ahhhh.

            Okay, so tomorrow no caffine.

              Re: STAC Inductioneers!

              Hi.

Quick check-in here. I'm feeling much better today. Welcome Shaunawa - I also drink 2 cups of regular coffee everyday. I'm ok with that. I love coffee - the taste, the aroma and just make sure I ENJOY it when I drink it - no running around and just injesting it without friends, conversation or a pause in the day to do with it.

Keep going everyone. We're more than halfway there.

                Re: STAC Inductioneers!

I drink a cup of coffee in the am because I'm not ready for the full fledged caffeine withdrawal right now.

I just went and bought me a new car. See what happens when they give me a snow day?????

                  Re: STAC Inductioneers!

it seems like a lot of people aren't affected by caffeine. I know for sure I am, but I get anxiety from it. so avoiding it is a snap for me.

                    DAY 9, right???? Tuesday morning??

Ok, so other than a few pieces of sf gum, some coffee, and not getting enough veggies, (yeah, except for all that), I've been doing great.

My stix are bright purple and that is with me drinking over a gallon of water a day.

Today, I'm going to have a hamburger with mayo for breakfast and some chicken salad for lunch. I'm going to put a pork roast in the crock pot for supper. Yum!

                      Re: STAC Inductioneers!

Okay, so Day one went pretty well until around 10 o'clock. We had some pretty slippery roads around here last night and I was one them. Before starting on my journey I stopped at the gas station and pretty much shot myself in the foot. I picked up a package of nutter butters... four cookies. They were so good - but now they taste so bad.

The rest of my day was pretty good though. 3 eggs, 1 piece of gouda cheese, salad, chicken breast, 1 c. mixed veggies, chicken breast, two bacon slices, 1 slice of swiss, 4 nutter butters.

Okay, so the cookies were bad. If I looked at the calories - I was probable pretty safe. Today is a new day and I started out on the right foot. So, here is to DAY 1 & a cup of coffee. (thanks for that)

                        Re: STAC Inductioneers!

sugar-free bacon and eggs for me this morning! I made up some meat sauce to have on zucchini for lunch. I found this awesome marinara sauce that has no preservatives, artificial flavours, or sugars. plus, it's 2 carbs for half a cup! blows my mind.

shaunawa, good for you for not just saying "well, I blew it" and going off plan for days! eat a lot of fat today, that'll help you get back on track. being in ketosis tastes better than nutter butters, don't you think?

                          Hi,

I've lost track of the days too. Sunday was day 7 so this is Day 9 I think?

Feeling good with staying on track. Need to get about 20 hours work done in the next 3 hours. Yeah. Love those days.
