  • STAC Inductioneers!

I saw that quite a few of us are re-starting induction, and figured we should have our own thread. we can use it to check in, give encouragement, post menus, anything that you think could be helpful/encouraging/fun.

I re-started today, my weight just wasn't moving, plus I think it'll be good for me. almost like a cleanse.

    Hi,

I'm with you. Day 1. I seem to be ok psychologically once I get into ketosis (after day 3) but getting into that phase is next to impossible for me. Everyday I start and everyday I fail again. The evenings are the part of the day that kill me. Anyhow, let's do it together. Here's to Day 1. S-

          Re: STAC Inductioneers!

I'm determined to do a two week clean induction starting this morning. So far so good. I had a half a cup of coffee this morning so I don't die from caffeine withdrawal but so far so good.

I ate a lot of crap this weekend. I actually came home today and fell asleep in the recliner for about 45 minutes. I haven't taken a nap in a long time.

            Hello,

I made it through Day 1 - no cheats in the evening. Very pleased with myself. Today is Day 2. I just need to focus on that success of yesterday and how much better this feels.

Steady and Vickie: I just want to tell you that I just went through those weights recently and for me - 209 was a BIG deal. That one lb meant everything to me AND it took so much time. But the even bigger number for me was getting to under 200. No more 200's - when I made it to 199 I was so excited. You both are so so close to big milestones (at least they were for me). Keep going and do something special when you pass through those weights.

I've been at 190-192 since December. It is depressing. I'm weight training so I understand the muscle mass is part of that - so is not eating well. So, I'm trying to break through that barrier right now. Hoping this forum and the STAC challenge will help me through that.

              welcome, you two.

day one was squeaky clean, woo! I've resigned myself to boring food for the first three days, then I'm going to be more creative. I just want to be SURE I don't do anything to encourage cravings, and get off to a good start.

I hadn't realized how many carbs I was eating. I'm so low energy! can't wait for that to change.

                Re: STAC Inductioneers!

The end of Day 2. I still need to get some veggies in. I think I'll have some greenbeans sauteed in olive oil. Yum.

I'm feeling this. I KNOW I can do this for two weeks and possibly for a month. Yee Haaa.

Oh, and I peed on a stick tonight. I'm PURPLE. That surprised me after all the crap I ate this weekend.

                  right on!!!

day two was super clean as well. I didn't have too much of an appetite, probably because I'm making a point of eating a good deal of fat. I feel like i'm getting a cold though, and THAT stinks.

way to stick to it, kelly! one day at a time, right?

                    Re: STAC Inductioneers!

Day 3, I KNOW I can keep doing this. Yesterday was superclean for me as well, except for a couple of pieces of sf gum. I don't even know why I ate it except that it was in my car. I'm going to give it all away.

I swear, water is the KEY. I think back to my first time around when I lost 45 pounds in 4 1/2 months. First of all, I drank heavily at the time and I never ate supper. I drank vodka for supper every night.

Now, I eat supper so that's a big change. But I also was drinking LOTS of water. Lately, I've been hitting the 64 ounce mark and then drinking lots of diet coke, the rest of the evening. Not good.

The past two days have been Diet Coke free!!!! And I've been drinking at least a gallon of water. It makes me feel so full and so flushed!!

I'm lucky I have an assistant so I can go to the bathroom when I need to go!!!

Oh, and the vegetable thing. I know I'm supposed to be eating veggies. Trust me, I know. It's just that I'm really full and blah, blah, blah. No excuses.

give yourself credit for doing well in all the other ways though!

so when I restarted, my weight was (thanks to my stupid scale which is kind of inconsistent) between 209-211.5 (thanks, last carb binge). this morning, between 208 (!!!) and 210. those are the low and high weights the scale showed. hopefully things are actually moving again! and i've been drinking TONS of water.

callanetics, btw...I forgot that they work SO quickly. after doing it, I swear, twice, I feel a difference.

now to go deal with my sick, congested lungs, and think about breakfast.

                        Hello,

You all are doing well. Just a quick question for everyone - how do you measure your water intake? I have a big glass I drink from, but I don't really know how big it is. do you 'set aside' your water in a jug in the morning and just drink from that throughout the day? What tricks do you use?

I made it through Day 2. I just have a headache, but 3 out of 4 children are home today ill - just lethargic. I'm heading out to the library to study for 5 hours or so.

So today is Day 3. Isn't that great? We are doing well...

                          Re: STAC Inductioneers!

I have a sixteen ounce water bottle that I refill. On my calendar, I write tally marks for each time I drain it. Usually, when I'm refilling it, I go ahead and suck one down real quick and then take a full one with me.

Your scale sounds like mine. Everytime I get on it, it says something different. I've often thought of getting a real nice digital scale but I can't bring myself to care enough to do that.

I have 8, 12, and 16 oz cups. when I'm working at this one location, I fill a 64-oz pitcher and usually have it finished before lunch.

the standard coffee mug is 12 oz, I think.

Unbelievable! I'm so glad I made the decision to hunker down with induction. I've had some fatigue but that's it.

My stix are bright purple even with me drinking a gallon of water plus. No way I'm dehydrated.

I've taken my multivitamin each day.
