    You can eat more veggies 'legally' if you move to the first rung of OWL!! I stayed on the veg rung for quite a while before adding yogurt on the dairy rung.
    Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

      ohh yogurt that sounds goood!!

      Why did i come back to my desk and there was cake sitting there... WTH!! so i wrapped it up and was going to throw it out, but i'll bring it home for my son bc he loves cake.

      Edited: nope threw it out, too tempting...

        Had my Atkins headache today. Every time I go on induction, i always always always get a bad day long headache on day 3. I know it's my body screaming for sugar but I also know that when the headache goes, which it now has, the worst is over.

          I am new to this forum and have started my induction 2 days ago but so far have not lost any weight. I need a little help with food questions from time to time and hope I can successfully achieve my goal.
          starting weight :152
          goal 1: 142
          ultimate goal: 125
          age: 27/f

          1 question: yesterday I had tilapia fish with zatarains lemon pepper fish fry mix. Is there anything wrong with that during induction. Also, my salad had a few sliced carrots in it. Please help, am I doing something wrong.

            The talapia sounds great(just make sure the mix doesn't have sugar in it) but get rid of the carrots,(not on the acceptable food list) they are starchy and kinda high in carbs. Do you have the book? Dr.Atkins New Diet Revolution? I highly reccomend getting it! you can get it very cheap on Ebay or Amazon. Good luck to you!

              often the fish mix seasoning not only has sugar in it but also flour or cornstarch so beware of this. Goodluck!!!!

                Thanks for your reply. Is Zatarains okay for induction? On the box it says: Ingrediants: Enriched Corn Flour (Niacin, Ferrous Sulfate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin and Folic Acid, Salt, Cayenne Pepper, Citric Acid (Modified Corn Starch, Citric Acid, Natural Flavor, black pepper, monosodium glutamate, garlic, lemon juice(malodextrin, lemon, citric acid, sugar, onion, white pepper.

                Nutrition:
                Calories 40
                Fat: 0
                Cholesterol: 0
                Sodium: 830mg
                Total Carb: 9g
                Dietary Fiber: 0g
                Sugars: 0g
                Protein: <1g

                Please can I have as many responses as possible on whether or not this lemon pepper fish fry from zatarains is acceptable on either induction 1st and then later and also why does carb say 9g when it does not have any sugar or d fiber. Can someone tell me what else carbs are made of besides those 2 and sugar alcohol.

                Thanks and I appreciate everyone's input. I have a wedding coming up and would like to lose as much as possible.

                  Sorry .. it has cornflour which is definately not Induction friendly.The carb count on the packaging says 9g carbs because that is from the cornflour. Carbs can come from sugar, wheat products ( bread pasta etc),corn , rice,veges,potatoes, sugar alcohols, fruit ,barley oats and grains and nuts etc. I would say cornflour is not allowed at least until you get to the phase where you can eat corn. Be aware that some cornflour is made from Wheat! Try something else for your fish.. Maybe dip it in egg then coat it in parmesan cheese and some herbs before you fry it . Or even just sprinkle with lemon pepper ( as long as it does not have sugar added like some spices do!

                    thank you Donna for your reply. I think I may still have a chance to lose some weight on the Atkins diet. So far it has been 6 days and I have lost only 4 lbs.

                    Another question is if I cook meat with potatoes and just eat the meat, would it have carbs in it from cooking it with potatoes. Same questions about if I fried fish with batter for my husband and then used the same oil to fry fish for me, would that oil have a carbs in it. Thanks again for all your help.

                      I am very happy. I am losing weight. I now weigh 148.6 lbs and my goal is 130-135 before Nov 15. Is it possible? If so, how shoudl I go about it. Is there a strategy on how long I should stay in each phase. Thanks again for all your help.
