    Hrm, I'll have to check that out. Random, where are you folks getting your flax meal? Just the regular grocery store or should I be trying to find a health food store here in Dallas?

    I was thumbing through the food sections for ideas for this week and I think this weekend I'll try making those Cheesecake Pancakes!

    With only 4 days left on Induction, I am contemplating an extended 1 week of Induction - to do a little cleaner and less cheese-filled coffee-free week to help combat my yeasties!

    This morning is pretty boring, too. My cooking bug has hailed a taxi or something. I need it back!

    Breakfast: Sausage Quiche Muffin
    Snack: Cheese slice
    Lunch: Tuna mixed with mayo, VERY small side cesear salad I nabbed for $0.99 at Target
    Snack: Cheese slice
    Dinner: Garlic butter roast with steamed broccoli and grated parmesean

      Yes, I have tried it. And it is quite filling. What i have done is double the recipe and cook it in a small loaf pan. That way I get 4 slices out of it! I find the whole muffin almost too much for one sitting.

        MrsBrittney, I get the flax meal at the our regular grocery store here in L.A. But I have also seen it in the health food stores.

          I'd look for packages of it in the baking section of the supermarket. Near the flours. The brand I get is Bob's Red Mill.

              Hi Everyone. Wow I have been swamped at work and this is the first time im checking in. Sounds like everyone it doing well.

              Im also thinking about extending my induction one week till March 3. I need to cut out the cheese as well. I love coffee but I dont drink much of it. I have only had on tall breve from SB and I only had half a cup cuz i tasted more cream than coffee. I want it to be equal or maybe slightly more coffee.

              B 3 slice of bacon (just the regular ones) and 1 egg
              L 2 cheeseburger no bun with some mustard
              D I think steak or maybe shrimp in butter.
              S Small side salad oh and couple of Pork rinds.

              Im still not hungry but I know I need to eat!!!

                Today was a busy day at work for me as well. I'm a paralegal, so I've constantly got stuff to do. I love my job though! And I have the most awesome boss ever! I have eaten pretty well so far today. I too, am thinking about extending my induction, but just through the weekend so that I can start with OWL on Monday instead of Friday.

                Breakfast - Cheeseburger Quiche and 2 stalks of celery
                Lunch - tuna salad and cucumbers with sour cream
                Snack - pork rinds
                Dinner - Parmesan baked chicken and broccoli and cauliflower.

                I also managed to do 20 minutes on the elliptical tonight! My buns were sore as heck from yesterday's floor exercises. I feel great though, and I hope I can stick with the exercising part of things. It's always going to be the hardest part for me...

                  Morning!! I really need to get to bed earlier. I completely spaced about packing lunch last night and thought I had one last muffin-quiche (I didnt) so here's my last minute meal plan this morning:

                  Breakfast: Roast beef
                  Snack: Cheese wedge
                  Lunch: Tuna with mayo
                  Snack: 1/2 cup of cucumber and zuchinni slices
                  Dinner: Garlic butter shrimp, steamed broc w/parmesean

                  I need to really EXERCISE. With the exception of some dog walking, I haven't done squat since I started. And I realize my only real free time is going to be before work, so it looks like I need to be getting up way earlier now!

                    I thought about trying to do my exercise before work, but I can't roll my butt out of bed earlier enough. So I do it as as soon as I get home. I'm usually home by 5:30 and I start my work out around 6. It usually takes no more than 30 minutes. Then I get back to the mom and cooking dinner thing. That's what works best for me!

                    Today is day 14 for me, but I'm going to stick to induction until the end of the weekend. I am so ready to move though. So at the end of 2 weeks, I am down 8 lbs. I feel good about that!

                      Kristi, WTG on the 8 lbs loss on the induction. Thats awesome. I hope to get that many.

                      Im also one that is not a morning person and definately have a hard time getting up. I hate morining. I do need to start though. I know that getting the exercise in will jump start my loss. Im definately gonna be out walking with the my neighbor tonight for a good 30-45 min.

                        I'm not a morning person either, lol. After doing Atkins successfully the first time around, I spent 3 years getting up at 4am to gym before work (worked 6am-3pm).. I look back now and think HOW DID I DO THAT? I have complaints waking up before 7am now LOL.

                          Thanks AM! I hope you lose that much and more! I feel if I would have started exercising during week one instead of during week two, I would have better progress. But I'm still satisfied with what I have accomplished!

                            Yeah I totally agree. I should have jumped on the exercise bandwagon from week 1. Oh well I have to play catch up!!!

                            Well its raining outstide. I think we may just hit the gym. Holy crap I have not been in a few months. Its so packed during this time too. Either way I plan to get some kind of exercise in of some kind.

                                Hi,

                                It's almost the end of the "official" induction, right? How is everyone feeling?

                                As for me, i didn't get a good handle on how to balance my intakes of vegetables and proteins. I did okay with the carb limits and didn't eat sweets, lost 6 1/2 pounds (11.4% of my pounds to lose!), but the only place I really see it is in my face. I took after pics, in the same clothes, and I still look the same as before. Very discouraging.

                                So, I am thinking I'll do another week on induction, not so much to lose a ton more, but because I didn't ever exercise. I really should experiment to see what can happen when I am working out some, plus having the right combinations of foods and getting my veggies in. I think now I'm able to handle all that together. One more week and I'll be ready mentally to move on. (And losing another few pounds will not hurt.)

                                Your pets are so cute... maybe I should post pics of my kitties.
