I was going to start Induction today but I had to re-work my menu....and re-read alot of the book so that I do it right. I don't want to screw up the induction part so I am being a little obsessive.
Anyway, I am starting tomorrow and think it would be great if we kept each other motivated. I am 181 lbs and my first goal is 161 My final goal weight is around 125. I am 5'3" and am apple shaped. I am trying to get my friend to start with me but haven't had much luck yet.

Congratulations to all who have decided to start tomorrow (re-starting induction for me). This is a great place to get support, find a great new recipe, ask questions - what ever you need it's at your fingertips. The more you use this site the more it can help you.
I made Linda's Stuffed Green Pepper recipe for my dinner tomorrow night - I love them - crave them even...and I'm not a stuffed green pepper kind of girl - LOL. I made 8 servings (each serving is 1/2 a green pepper) - we'll have them tomorrow night (dh, mom & I) then I'll have 4 extra's that are already in the freezer. DH eats 2 servings and would eat 3 but it's too much - mom and I each eat 1 serving. I'll make a salad w/lots of veggies and 2Tbsp Hidden Valley Ranch and will enjoy every glorious biteful.
Drink plenty of water - at least 64oz - I run the monthly water challenge and see how much this really helps everyone. Exercise is also crucial when you are doing this WOE - Dr. Atkins says it's not an option - it is a must.
hey girls....hoping i can join ya all. i will be starting day 4 tomorrow of induction, but will continue on with ya all for the next 2 weeks. nothing wrong with 17 days of induction, i am sure.
i am feeling great at the end of day 3. no real problems from this soon to be ex sugarholic. we are gonna do this!!!! aint no stopping us!!!!
do we have a little group then that we can follow along with? i hope so.
i really like the accountability of online friends. i'll be checking in regularly.
think i'll do a 5 mile bike ride too. got my bike ready today to do some serious riding. see ya all soon.
I started 4 days ago. So far have lost 4 pounds. I've done this once before about 8 years ago so here we go again. The first week is the toughest. If you can go a couple of weeks then you've got it licked. When you start peeing a lot then you know its working. I've read that for every 4 pounds you lose 3 of them are water. This is because a fat cell is 3/4 water. Good luck
Great - it seems like there are a few of us starting tomorrow. I cooked/prepped my dinners and a few lunches for this week today. I am starting the morning with some eggs and 2 pieces of bacon - lunch will be the mushroom chicken I found on Linda's website (it was marked 'induction friendly', and dinner will be steak, 1 cup of asparagus, salad with oil/vinegar/salt/pepper, hollandaise sauce -- I know I will have a snack so I am saving 1 cup of veggies for that --- any ideas about snacks I should have on hand? Do a Google on Pizza Bites. Look for the low carb one. I just made some yesterday. It's basically pepperoni, cream cheese, spag sauce, mozzarella cheese, spices, eggs, etc. They are made in a mini muffin pan. Not bad.
