I am WILLING to perform CHEAT FREE for the next year and then move onto OWL. In one year, my senior prom will occour lol. I KNOW that most of you guys do not believe in losing a certain amount in a certain amount of time but i would idealy like to get down to 180 by May 06 Currently 330. I've lost 50lbs so far but i need EVERYONES help because this means more to me than anything else you could imagine. I will surely keep everyone updated on my weight loss journey haha and this forum has worked wonders!! I need each of your help and in return, i will help you because we are in this together. I am willing to work VERY HARD to get to my goal because it just means that much to me! I know, people here and so have I, have asked for tips on how to lose faster and maintain a steady loss. I want to keep this thread going until MAY 2006 filled with tips and updates!! I'll call it MARKS PROM GOAL 06! WOOO! LOL READYY SET GOOOOOOOO!!!

I just wanted to wish you luck :joy And sometimes, a certain weight goal for a certain event allows ourselves to push when we sometimes feel like giving up. For example,My goal is my 21st, and ,everytime i feel like eating junk or feeling like giving in, i just picture myself on my bday(in July) and imagine how i want to look and feel and i realize that no amount of junk food will put me in my goal outfit . So, good luck at reaching your goal by your prom! Im sure you can do it-after all, 50 lbs are already gone!!! THATS SO GREAT!

Considering your age and that you're a guy I'm fairly confidant you'll make your goal before prom. Stick with it, don't falter and stay true to yourself and this WOL and you'll be amazed. Goal, did you read Peter's post here?
I think, especially relevent to you, is to think of this as a way of life. This is how you eat from now on. This is what works. Think nutritionally when you look at food. Think of how every bite of legal food is going to nourish you, and how every bite of non-legal food is going to send you five steps backward. There can be no temptation to cheat if you truly understand what those foods...even 1 bite...can do to you.
I'd also suggest you start to learn how to cook if you haven't already! :yes There are many ways to enjoy food, and preparing it can be part of the whole experience.
...and...I have to say...there's nothing more attractive than a man who cooks..lemme tell ya!! :joy
I'm excited for you, and I have all the confidence that you will get to your goal. Keep focussed on where you want to get to, keep your support system intact, and go for it! :icondance

Lots of luck to you. It's going to help that you have an important event coming up. You can do it. Just stay on track, exercise, drink your water, and be sure to journal your food. If you want it bad enough, you can do it. This board is absolutely wonderful for support. We're all here for you. I can't wait to see your prom pictures. You're going to be a lean, mean, fighting machine!

There is going to come a point where the scale isn't going to move at all! and it can be very upsetting if you are not watching your inches lost to keep up with all the weight you are losing.

You can do it Mark. You're young, you're male and you're on a mission.
-Drink plenty of water.
-Exercise regularly.
-Stick to the induction foods.
-Make sure you're eating according to 65% Fat, 30% protein and 5% carbs rule.
-Don't weigh yourself too often.
-Think about your goal whenever you consider cheating.
-Come back to the forum often for support.
