Speaking from experience here, I'd like to suggest that you set a goal to be able to wear a certain SIZE by prom time, or that you lose a certain amount of inches.,
Here's why: inches lost often are much greater than pounds. Even when you are at a plateau on the scale, you're probably losing inches. ANd of course, it's what we can WEAR and how we LOOK that is important, not a number on a scale.
Last year, when I lost 40 lbs, I found that inches were falling off like crazy. At 182 lbs, I was wearing a size 12, down from size 18. Before Atkins, 182 lbs meant I was a size 16!

lol i know in the end ill just care about how i look so a goal is not really as important as inches but.. thats where id like to be initially. i just keep seeing myself at prom and its not this way.. not at all.. im going to work hard this summer to get myself into shape and im starting now!! This is inspiring! I know that Atkins changes your body shape, but I didn't realize how drastically given your example! That's awesome! I'm hoping that will be my case as well!!

your wooing is making me tired! It's like an SNL skit!!! you seem like you have a lot of energy WOOOOO!(j/k) Are you going to the gym or working out each day? I see no mention of it since you got your tread. You will lose all the weight you want to and then some if you combine Atkins with gymming. That will let you know that you also gotta eat more food baby! I can hardly stay on my elliptical machine for 20mins when I dont eat much, but I am the elliptical CHAMPOIN when I pig out (indxn food of course)
but none the less cheers to you. I have been at 240 for the past month and a half and the tape stopped moving too for th last week

lol yeah i do, i get discouraged and i know im not supposed to but i havent done things wrong.. maybe yesterday i ate a little too much cheese but after a while of working and not seeing results it just gets me pissed offff!! I KNOW, i need to exercise more.. what are some things i can do at home without anything?
things you can do at hme without anything? I am assuming you ar referring to excerise you can do at home without equipment....
go for long walks and eventually become a runner. There are a lot of articles out there suggesting walk/run plans for people who want to go from couch potato to marathon runner. or invest in a bike. I find I can ride for much longer than I can do machines at the gym. Is there a gym around your home that offers a student rate? I forget where you are from but know in many suburban towns, high school kids can go to the gym for as little at $9.99/month (In Boston that's more like $99.99) but I find I am much more apt to get off my butt when I go to the gym. At home it's easy to put off a run or something, but I go to the gym every day at the same exact time and I feel weird if I don't. Make it an obligation, like going to class is, and you will feel bad for not doing it, especially if you aer paying for a membership.

I am going to go ahead and mention the fact that if you are not eating....the weight you are losing is mostly muscle and water. If there isn't fuel for the body it automatically turns to muscle, because it can convert it to glucose really easily.
