  • NO eating after 7 p.m. render Fantastic results!!!!

I stop eating no matter what, when 7 p.m. hits. I'm having GREAT results too!!! This is recommended for everybody, along with some exercise and plenty of water. I can't tell you how much better I feel!!! Its the BOMB!!! I don't wake up hungry/starving either, unlike I did when I ate late in the evening.

I agree. I quit after 6:30 pm. I usually get off work at 6, come home and have my dinner (which I've pre-made before I go to work). I take my evening walk between 8-9pm and I feel really good.

Hi, I go to sleep between 11pm and 12 am. Also I drink water when I think I want to eat after 7pm and that helps a lot. HTH

Theres a few studies out there that point to it doesn't matter what time you eat. Your body doesn't know when its 7pm or 7am. Only you do. It just works off how your activity is. If you slow down at 7 pm and start laying around, then your body cranks down your metabolism, And if you eat, its more likely to store it rather than burn it.

But if you are up and at it untill 12am, you can eat, as long as you don't eat a full meal within 2 hours of going to sleep. You don't want to be digesting food while you sleep.

Studies just like Statistics I don't buy into them, because there are different conclusions varying different factors at play. I go by how effectively my personal experience go, and not eating after 7pm is the bomb for me. Maybe you can eat until 12 midnight, and you're okay with the results you have, but for some its not feasible nor reasonable. I do agree with not going to sleep within a few hours after consuming a meal, that's common sense though. So, what works for some don't work for all.

exactly, and when your body is busy digesting food, it is hard to sleep...i always have a hard time sleeping on a full stomach. Studies dont mean crap to me either. What works for some people doesn't for others, and while you may be able to eat late into the night, it bothers some other people...I have been actually meaning to do this for a while, but kind of forgot about it.

Hey Nikki, I'm with you girl! I stop eating by 7-7:30 and only drink water till 9pm! I find this works the best, and the results have proven themselves.

Just because you pretend its not there, it doesn't really care. What I found funny about your post was this,
along with some exercise and plenty of water.
How do you know that didn't attribute to any of it? We may all be different, but our bodys are still made the same.

Apparently, after 7pm you shut down for the night. So yes you shouldn't eat. My only point is that not everyone shuts down at that time. Some people are up and moving until 9,10 or 11 pm. So their bodies need the fuel.

Btw, studies do mean something when they aren't biased. I find that basic scientific studies to be good. As long as they are not funded by corporations looking for backing of their crappy products.

Studies just like Statistics I don't buy into them,
funny, since it was statistics that got you to eat low-carb anyway.

Why must you always be so negative? I mean really, if you don't want to take the advice, fine! But don't nag her because she found something that works for her, and also works for a LOT of us.

I am not being negative, You all were, I was just pointing out FACT. I was replying with the real reason.

One of the biggest holes in the argument is that there are alot of people who work 3rd shift. Their day doesn't begin until 3 pm usally and don't get to bed until about 7-8 am. So explain to me why they can eat after 7 pm.

YOUR BODY DOESN'T CARE WHAT TIME IT IS! It just goes by how much activity you are doing.

Obviously she and most people shutdown for the after 7pm...and thats why it works for her.

Oh and another thing..you can't say, "This is recommended for everyone", and then turn around and say, "Well, this is what works for me, everyone is different".

If you read the posts, I had asked her what time she went to bed...she said 11-12...so that means 4 or 5 hours before bedtime, NOT necessarily at 7pm. And I did not say this is reccomended for everyone, if you scroll up you will see that Nikki said that. I said "Well, this is what works for me, everyone is different". You just seem really quick to post something negative without reading what was even said. Why not affirm her? Seems like you think you know all the answers and there is always something wrong with what anyone else is doing if it's not exactly what you're doing. Dr. Atkins talks about his diet saying that the reason it is so great is because it is customizable to meet each person's specific needs. That means people will do things differently, and just because it isn't what you're doing doesn't make it WRONG.
