LOL! Well, if anyone doesn't like someone it's usually because of their attitude, not how they follow their WOE. And there are many of us purists out there, so if the purist thing was the problem we'd see more of this.

Sorry, I find persecution complexes amusing

You are right, purists don't bother me...I actually wish I could be more of one, I try my hardest though! But it is peoples attitudes and the way they go about saying things like they are know-it-alls...they tend to put others down, and I don't even know if they realize it or not. Maybe this thread will be an eye opener for some.

So, I did the not eating after 7 p.m. again last night and my waist line is tighter this morning. I feel AWESOME!!! Again this is the BOMB!!! I scarfed down like 5 boiled shrimps at 6:58 p.m. drank my H20 for the remainder of the evening. This morning I'm not ravenously hungry either. I hope everybody try this not eating after 7 p.m. P.S. my face feel & look slimmer and tighter too!!! :icondance :joy

hehe I did it last night also, and noticed that I slept well throughout the night... I also lost 3lbs overnight! But I can't decide if not eating after 7 had anything to do with it or not...I actually did not eat at all after about 6, my dinner was very filling. But I am going to keep doing this and see if there is maybe a weight loss pattern!

Does all that water at night make you have to get up to pee during the night? I don't drink any water after maybe 7:00, and I still have a very full bladder at around 5:30 each morning.

I try not eating anything after 8 or so...sometimes 9...and I go to bed around 11. I am going to try 7 and see if that helps any. I drink tons of water every day and yes...I seem to get up around 5:30 every morning to pee :no ..it's annoying lol.

Congrats to those who are independently trying to find out how to get the best out of their WOL. It is nice to try new things that others swear by...just to see if it works for you too. Sometimes it works and others it doesn't.

If it's not illegal, try it once...twice if you like it lol :nod

this is funny, but before I started atkins, I'd drink maybe 1-2 glasses of water a day, and 5-6 cans of coke...back then I would ALWAYS have to wake up at 530 am or so and RUSH to the bathroom to go potty...but now that I'm drinking only water, my system seems to hold it in better. I do have to go when I wake up, and I do drink water all night until I go to bed, but I am never woken up by having to use the restroom.

I can't eat dinner before 7:30 or 8:00, my DH doesn't get home from work till them and it would break his heart if he had to eat his dinner alone. I've been to Athens, Greece, Paris, France and Rome, Italy. Most resturants don't even serve dinner until 8:00 or 9:00 and those people are all skinny compared to Americans!

Iyshiaf, can't I borrow your whoosie fairy for just one night? I promise I'll give her back!

Hi Tammy, Nope it doesn't. I have to drink water during the night too. I've found that since I've been drinking plenty of water, I get very thirsty, my mouth will be all dry, if I don't have a bottle of water by my bed, I will go nuts from being very thirsty. I noticed when I didn't drink enough water throughout the day, then I would never get thirsty. Also when I'm consistent with drinking lots of water on a regular basis, I go to the bathroom less frequently.

That's awesome! I drink 64 ounces per day, and I know I should drink more...

I've lost 13 1/2 pounds since May 16, and I'm just about ready to buy some size 14 pants! My size 16's are very loose -- I've already gone down to a comfortable XL in tops (from a Women's 16).

You know what Oprah says about eating at night....."Don't eat anything after 6:00 -- not even a grape."

Of course Oprah isn't doing Atkins, so a grape wouldn't be our first choice! lol... Also 7:00 is a much more reasonable cut-off time!

I also wanted to lighten the atmosphere on this thread...

Like it or not it is something that has been known for a long time. Don't eat after your body slows down for the ngiht. I used to work shift work and I was up 11p-7a. I ate at 7:30 when the shift ended whent home did some chores for a few hours, then off to bed for 8 hours. If you ar eup till 2 am, then you would be able to eat till around 10ish...He was jsut telling you the facts.

This is dead and over with! Why would you come in here starting it up again? Beats me, but its done with!! Theres no more to say about that riff, lets be positive and stick to the intent of this thread:
I am having a great time losing weight this way :icondance Whoo Hoo!!! I just absolutely looooove not eating after 7pm its teaching me new things about staying fabulous once my weight is gone!!! Oh yeah I drank too much water late last night, and I did have to get up during the night to go to the bathroom. I won't be doing that again.
