    Heyyyyyyy Sally,
Welcome home!!! Good to hear form you again. Feels good to be home doesnt it. We are all here for eachother. Isabeau, i really hope that once i start fitting into my size 6 pants and am able to wear those nice sexy blouses, i will feel and think the way you think. Mabey once i get to my goal, i will think that a piece of cake or other stuff wont be as good as keeping the sexy clothes and sizes i like. Sure cant wait till i get there.

So, question? I read people say onederland. Whats that mean?

      Hi Isabeau, Shelly and all

I have no idea what onderland means - I am sure we will be told.

Isabeau, do you not ever feel tempted to eat a non Atkins freindly food? The only food I am having concerns with is nuts, cakes, bread etc are not a worry but nuts and peanut butter are.

Has every one got a goal date for April 30th? If this is the date I'll need to set a goal also. As I'm finding it hard to shift these pounds I be kind to myself and say 3 pounds will make me happy - so my goal is 118.

I love goals - Ive got something to work for now :joy.

      Thanks Ladies, talk soon :hug

"Onederland" is for those of us that weighed over 200 pounds and are now in the 100's. I think they call the 200's 'twoterville'.

And honestly sallyb, I don't crave those things. I've not cheated. It's weird and still freaks me out. I really think there has to be a strong mind/body/emotional equation happening for that to happen, and believe me, it's the first time it's happened for me. It's not a 'holy than thou' thing at all. I guess I've just been really lucky and found a woe that fits me perfectly. I'm even able to bake all sorts of stuff for my family or make mashed potatoes and gravy and honestly and truthfully not even lick a finger. Weird, but true. If it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone.

          Hi all.
OK Isabeau. I don't know how you do it. Pass some of your motivation towards me. I've been good the last few days. Yesterday I did cave in and bought a 2 oz. pack of peanuts out the of vending machine that is a total net 2 carbs. I started TOM today.

Something really good happened. Out of the blue, a recruiter for a large homebuilder called me to see if i'm interested in a position with their company. I go in Thursday to fill out an application. I'm so excited. I've been with my current company for almost 4 years. There is absolutely no growth opportunities here and the raises are crap. Cross your fingers for me.

Thanks for Atkins i've lost 37 lbs. and feel and look much better. I haven't applied anywhere because I know I lost out to jobs because of my weight. Now that I feel and look better I don't feel conscientious like I used to.

It's giving me my confidence back.

Sally, since you are so close to your goal weight now maybe you shuld be moving up the rungs of OWL? going thru the rungs you can determine which food groups you can have, and which ones will cause you issues (like nuts...it's one of my problems as well..i have no self control!). Atkins is not just induction, if you want to maintain your goal weight once you reach it the OWL rungs are a very important step.

                  Hi Sadie

                  Thanks for your message.

In theory the answer is yes, whilst from a weight goal perspective I am near my goal, but not from mental perspective :nono. I see the induction phase as not just as a weight loss kick off but also an opportunity learn control, eliminate cravings and control desire my trigger situations. This has happened to a degree but not to stage that I am feel is enough. I do enjoy the feeling of managing self control, I wake up feeling so much better.

Additionally I am going in for surgery tomorrow and very concerned how this will effect my current ‘food/body’ situation. I am not shifting the last pounds, and feel that staying on induction will assist further.

I did start OWL but since then I have stalled and had problems with ‘a little bit more’ turned into the ‘whole lot’. So my self control still needs working on, and I feel induction is the best way of managing this self control.

If all goes well post surgery and If Im still on track I will move on to OWL, just a bit nervous at the moment. Does this make any sense to you?

                  Many thanks

Prior to having my baby I was 112 pounds. but all lean muscle and very low body fat (19.2). As muscle is 3 times heavier that fat my current goal
is probably slighlty higher than I need to get back to pre preg condition, which is my ultimate goal. My body fat is currenlty 24.5, this number actually pains me.

Additionally I am going in for surgery tomorrow and very concerned how this will effect my current ‘food/body’ situation. I am not shifting the last pounds, and feel that staying on induction will assist further.

Thanks for your mail, writing this down and actually been helpful to me as
I often think blow induction move on, but it's taking the easier road a bit early I think.

                    Many thanks

                      Sally,
At 5'7" tall your goal weight seems a little low to me. Have you checked your body fat% recently. You may just be carrying more muscle mass.

                        Hi spirittalker

I have a very small body frame, all the women in my family do. My body fat was checked on Saturday and was 24.5. Weight does seem low if I had a medium body frame but it's not the case.

No I can tell it's certainly not lean tissue!!

                        Thanks

                          Hey Sally,
I just wanted to share with you that i had surgery in feb. i just recommend to say away from the scale for a while after sugery. I had gotten on the scale before and then after the sugery i had gained quite a few pounds from all the iv stuff and the medications afterwards for the pain. I just wanted to share with you that. So that way you wont feel bad if you do see the scale move up after the surgery.

                            Hey everyone,
Sally, glad to see you, and welcome to what I call my little place of encouragement. I think we are all struggling in some way, and hopefully we can sort all that out here. Here is what I need to do: I need to restart induction and get back into ketosis. When I was there before, I felt no hunger. That's why I love this woe: I wasn't hungry and was losing weight! I haven't gotten back to that with my constant cheating every other few days, and that is why I'm failing. So, I've decided to get back to induction, and go from there. No more, enough is enough. Goal for April 30th is 155, with a realistic goal of 160. This morning at 167. Sorry for the rambling, have a great day everyone, and feel free to comment.
