      Good Morning!

Good Morning my fed up friends!!!!

First off, I'd like to say :hug :hug :hug :clapping :clapping :clapping and Congrats to my thread-mate Shashee--4lbs lost 3 days!!!!!!! She is really workin in :icondance :joy

Cleo, Pam and Dream-Poeple always seem to be happy for you as long as you are in the fat boat with them, but the min you jump ship it's like a tsunami hit the damn boat!!!!! The congrats go to complaints and critism :yes

[b]Queenie- Don't let it get you down. My family is being very supportive, with to exception of two members--grandmother (told that story earlier) and one of my 5 Aunts. My Aunt Net lost 40lbs last year in a very short amount of time. No one knows how she did it, but she did not exercise or change her eating habits--so we kind of all had our ideas (diet pills--although she would never admit it). She has gained it all back, and then some!!!!! When she saw that I had lost weight, eventhough I am way smaller than her she said " Gyrl you are doing good, you've almost caught up with me!!!" Again, for the sake of being respectful, and because I know she has her fat goggles on backwards, I let it slide. She is also one of those people who loses a little weight and wants to tell everyone how fat they are and how they need to go on a diet. She makes me soooooo mad :anger

Spazzy- Your job sounds like mines. There are 2 ladies that I work with that have to bake a cake for every birthday of every personin the building. Not to mention the fact that we are a law enforcement agency, so if people are not dropping food off for us--there are donuts all over the building!!! :yikes I don't crave anymore, so this is cool with me. I also bring my own food to work everyday. (lunch and breakfast) Good luck w/ future pot lucks :wave

teejay- consider yourself truly blessed tohave a man in your life that is so supportive of what you are doing. I wish my BF was so considerate :confused

todd- Lack of knowledge is what keeps most people from pursuing this woe and weight loss success! (Sad but so true) :sadblinky

Maysea and Richt- WTG! Keep dishin it right back at em :ThumbsUp

Spirittalker- I know how you fell exactly. My BF will workout with me, (because he feels that the amount of weight I've lost is starting to make him look bad) then complain the next day about how everything hurts. At the same time, I practically have to beg to get him to workout with me--and he wonders why he's sore?? I tell him, "The more you workout, the more you get used to it." He doesn't want to hear that though!

        Okay!

I'd like to gripe about the fact that I spelled my own screen name wrong!!! And I was definitely not trying to bold 95% of that last post :anger

Now that our snow is gone I am walking daily. I am very lucky that I have a neighbor my age who has a little one also. We walk every night! :nod

It is so nice to get out of th house after being at work all day and go for a walk. I put my son in the backpack and my daughter in the jogger and off we go. We usually do a few miles and then I come home and do 2.5 miles on my elliptical also after I put the kids to bed . I noticed that I am in such a good mood lately too! :joy

            Sound like

Sound like one heck of a workout. Especially with a little one on your back :yes It seems like the workout goes faster when you have company.

It does go much faster! I used to work her so nice to have a chance to chat and catch up on things!

Yep, my son loves the backpack! I can't wait until he is a year old then I can put him in the bike trailer with my daughter and go for bike rides. We live out of town so tons of places to ride and get out and see the wildlife.

                I bet

I bet the scenary is just beautiful. I went on a 5 mile walk for MS this past weekend, and my aunt took my little cousin (who weighs about 40lbs). I walked about a 1/4 a mile with her on my back--we all took turns carrying her when she got too tired to walk with us.

iyshiaf thanku so much girl!!!!! I couldnt resist weighing myself... Not knowing just plucks at my brain, so yes, im gonna say it... IM A SCALEAHOLIC!!!!!!

Speaking of walks, I plan to go on a nice long one tonight when I get home from the fake bake. For some reason I feel thinner when im dark! A 5 mile walk is a lil much for my worn out lungs... Im only 26 and have the lungs of a 60 year old smoker or somethin :sadblinky

And I finally have somethin to complain about. Monday im scheduled to fly out to Pittsburgh for business... Me and 4 guys, and the first thing I got asked was "Shera are you off your diet so we can have fun"? Im like WTF :yikes does it matter, I can really eat wherever... The usually hit up a steak joint anyways, but its the drinks n beer thats gonna kill me. Im gonna be good, and have NONE, if I can stand up to their BS and peer pressure I can stand up to anything... Plus I wanna be closer to 200 pounds by week end next week, and Im not gonna let them ruin it for me!

Men, cant live with em, cant live without em

Yeah so today during lunch my friend was talking about how spicy the macaroni was and asked if i wanted some. So i was happy with my stir fry chicken with veggies (and do dressing whatsover, unless you count pepper lol) and I said no. She's like, "oh, you're on that Atkins thing?" and my other friends were like, 'I heard that Atkins can mess up your system.." and I go, "I've lost 15lbs so far, you haven't read the book, want a copy?" and they just shut up. I love my friends, but that's annoying sometimes... :anger

I'm so proud of you! You are really workin hard. Don't let them break you. Just think to yourself, " I know I will eventually stall, if I give in to this pressure!" If that doesn't keep ya from slippin, nothing will. I know you can though, so I'm not worried at all--you got it in you!

Here is something I can and can't gripe about. I have found that I do better under pressure. when I'm at home in Tennessee everyone tries to get me to eat bad things. I can say no because they think I will cave especially my mother-in-law. She always says come on you deserve it and I say no thanks she says I don't know how you do it! That is the not gripe part. Here is the crazy part. When I'm with my husband he makes sure I don't cheat. If I do he won't talk to me for hours. This is only because I have worked so hard on my loss and health and he doesn't want to see me screw it up. I find it harder when he says Pam don't eat that your not allowed and it makes me want it sooo much more. I guess I'm just weird. That's the gripe. I really like people to know I'm strong and that is a compliment for me. Without people like my mother-in-law I probably would have quit a long time ago! I know sounds crazy huh?

I just read the whole thread and its a good one. I'm learning from what's going on with all of you. Iyshia, I know that feeling when it comes to the family and that soul food. Girl, they act like something is wrong with you mentally for not wanting to eat the food or changing it up so you can eat it.

I don't have a gripe yet for the day. But, I know I'll be back, sooner or later to post one.

Don't let it get to you girls! When those things happen to me, I just take it as if this person want to see me fail. I refuse to give them that satisfaction :no

Not crazy AT ALL. I am exactly the same. If my boyfriend says "are you sure you can eat that?" I want to smack him. That was my last boyfriend actaully, current one knows better lol! I DO NOT like to be told what to do. But I LOVE to show off in front of people and not eat things they cant resist.

BTW, y'all are MUCH nicer than me. If I order food and someone asks me "are you doing atkins?" I promptly tell them "it's not your business what I eat." Tho I dont get that too much, I live in LA the thin and deit capital of the world. I usually get no grief when going out, servers are used to all kinds of wackyness. Tho I do get told "oh, low carb, thats sooo last year" :-/

Family is another story, again I guess Im just used to telling my family exactly what I think. As they do to me. A few weeks ago, I was eating steak but not the potatoes and my brother said to me "you're always so difficult, why cant you just eat whats on the table" and brought up how I used to be a vegatarian oh, and NOW its ok to eat meat. (I was, for about 3 month, over 6 years ago) and I said "Excuse me for trying to be healthy and not figureing it out on the first try, you're plenty difficuly too you know. At least Im not difficult AND FAT like you and your wife" And really, how difficult was I being buy NOT eating somthing. I mean, its not like I asked a special meal to be prepared. He just likes to get on my case.

Well, they are fat. and that shut them right up.
