  • Re: OWLERS "Stepping Back" thread

    Yesterday:
B/S: Atkins Vanilla Shake, Instone Choc. Pudding, Choco-Perfection Bar
L: Kielbasa and Grilled Peppers/Onions in Olive Oil
    S: FlaxSnax
D: A bunch of deviled eggs, sliced Roast Beef

    Calories: 1603; Fat 69%, Protein 27%, Carbs 4%; 27 grams Fiber; 17 Net Carbs

I'm pretty disappointed as I look at what I ate yesterday - the percentages are nice but I'm way shy on the veggies. And I relied on convenience foods too much. Need to plan better.

        Hey!

I was kind of the lone poster for a couple of days, so I stopped. Since some of you have made it back, I will start posting again, too. I usually don't post till evening time, so I'll see you then.

Good Mitzi! I really appreciate seeing how you & julirama and all the others that have been at this awhile do it. Seeing your menus & comments etc. teaches everyone else, you know? Anyway, I'm glad you'll keep posting - I'm sure I'm not the only one who browses through to see what I can learn! (Now I just need to put what I've learned into practice ... )

            Hi, Wendy

I'm more than happy to do it. If you haven't yet, and feel inclined to, you can take a look at my daily Journal Stats. I haven't been posting specific menus in there, but I do put Fitday Totals, exercise, and comments there. If we ever stop posting menus in this thread, I'll start putting it in my Journal Stats.

            Thanks for the interest.

Great menu and numbers Mitzie! I was wondering if I could join ya'll after I finish re-induction. I'm on day 8 and have lost five pounds. It would be so nice to have your suport going through the rungs. I didn't have the suport when I first started atkins three and a half years ago. I want to do it correctly and I know by coming here, I will. Thanks!

Of course, Sherri! We would be thrilled to have you. And you don't need to wait until you're through with Induction... re-inducting was your way of "Stepping Back". If you'd rather wait, that is fine and we will be looking for you after Induction. If you'd rather start now, that is fine, too.

B: Bacon, Scrambled Eggs (bit of cream & cheese mixed in I think)
                    S: FlaxSnax, ChocoPerfection Bar

This was an induction-level kind of day - I didn't take a formal lunch and missed out on veggie opportunities.

Wendy, you can always check out the fitday link in my siggy. There are days where I don't get to record all of my foods until the next day, now that my computer access/time is more limited, but I still try to do a decent job of recording what I eat.

                      TODAY:
B: 1 packet no sugar added cranberry flax oatmeal, 2 large strawberries, 1 scoop protein powder, 1 oz. pecans; 12 oz. LC chocolate milk
L: 6 oz. grilled chicken, 1.5 cups green beans, 2 cups celery, 1 oz. colby jack
                      S: 1 orange bell pepper
                      D: ?? Not sure yet!

Thank you - that's really generous of you to share. Is that the free version? I was thinking about buying the upgrade version but hadn't checked it out - I love how portable the free version is though (as long as you can remember your password).

I just use the free version. There's an option on the sign-in page to make your account "public", meaning others can see it, but won't be able to edit it.
