  • OWLERS "Stepping Back" thread

    A few of us have been seeing a hard time and need to take a step back and re-evaluate ourselves and our woe. So, instead of us crowding journals and holding the same conversation in 4 journals, here's the thread to move to.

    Me personally, I had a cheat. I ate taco bell. I was within my carb range BUT there is sugar and white flour involved. So I am taking a step back. I initially was going to go back to induction for a week. I think instead I will drop back to dairy from grains. Let's get this out girls. One week. You have to POST YOUR FOODS here. Keep yourself on track.

    I'm dropping back to Rung One, i've had some carbquik and gone over my dosage of splenda, ive also been eating too much fruit.

    i'll be reposting in here from tomorrow!

      Technically, I have dropped back to the berry rung. But, I am only eating berries occasionally for convenience, and avoiding melons (which are too sweet for me and harder to control). I am limiting my intake of nuts and diary because I know I have the tendancy to overeat both of these. I'm also trying hard to eat more veggies than usual.

      Breakfast: Red bell pepper, 1 cup tofu with cajun seasoning, 3 pieces bacon

      Lunch: A few bites of a taco salad (not hungry today...)

      Snack: Cucumber with salt

      Dinner: Steak, side of steamed (rung 1 legal) veggies, and a salad.

        Thanks Disco for starting this thread... good idea!
        I already said I had eggs for breakfast with cheese...
        need to eat lunch now...
        I'm sick with sore throat and cough... my punishment for eating cake, ice cream and peach cobbler... at family reunion. Can't stop sneezing all of a sudden! Taking loads of vita C... throat keeps feeling like it's closing up... I hate being sick... yuck!
        Gosh I'm tired too.
        lazy day today... keep puttering around cleaning up...
        okay, I'm off to make veggies and tuna with cheese... yummy. probably cabbage and broccoli.

          Well, I need to eat lunch. I only had 5 slices of bacon and my coffee with hwc and splenda this monring. I will go find something to eat on for lunch and dinner is going to be grilled chicken and steamed broc.

            I ate 2 sugar free candies (chocolate) and since then i've had horrifying cravings for everything under the sun i've stalled for 2 weeks and then gained a pound....so i'm stepping back to dairy rung (2) for a week. after that if i am still stalled, i will step back to veggie rung (1)..... today is shot for me already, so i'll start tomorrow.....

              Well, I had a yogurt for lunch, I need more veggies. Maybe I'll go ahead and have some broc too.

                This is a great idea - can I join you?

                Well, as I said in my journal - I went on holiday and cracked totally and ate everything I'd not touched for 155 cheat free days. I practically horded chocolate in my room and my behaviour, with hindsight was a bit worrying. Anyhoo I came back, started back where I left off on 35g carbs (my CCLL) and on grains rung. Went away again 1 week later briefly and I felt very stressy. And cheated again. All willpower had left the building. Again I was terrible, I was eating chocolate and total rubbish for 5 days like it was going out of fashion. So today is day 1 again and I've decided to go for a week of 25g carbs, rung 1 and see how it goes.

                AND I gained 10lbs. Arghhh! So I need this thread right now!

                Today:
                B - 2 scrambled eggs with cream, cherry toms and cheese
                L - salad (all vegs as per rung 1 and dairy measured re. induction) with tuna mayo
                S - cheese and pepperoni
                D - Chicken breast, mushrooms, broccoli and string beans
                S - might not bother, but is safety evening snack cheese, 2 cherry toms and decaf coffee w cream.

                            Ok...sofar today I've had 2 hard boiled eggs with mayo and 3 bottles of water. I'm going to round up some lunch. I'll post what that turns out to be.

                            I have decided to give up my decaf too and I'm going to go back to strict induction, under 20 carbs for 3 days.

                              Ok so lunch consisted of 2 oz of cheddar cheese made into cheese crisps, 1/4 of a green pepper and 2 stalks of celery. Didn't have much of an appetite.

                              Dinner will be baked chicken breast with some kinda veggie...I will report back with whatever I decide that is.
