You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to mitzimarie again.

Well, I tried! Seems like a long time since I reped either one of you!

Thank Joy, Mitzi, and Sunny! Y'all are so awsome.

Mitzi, I am really looking forward to reading the book after reading some of his interviews. Now, I wish I would have ordered it express mail! LOL Should get it sometime next week.

I am not going to bore everyone with what I ate yesterday, but just wanted to say that with my loss last week, I have an even stronger motivation to stay on task. I realize that I won't lose like I did last week, but do feel that it will be going in the right direction and that I will be at goal very soon!!! Yippee! I am going to be a GOALIE!!!

I am trying to keep on the same track as last week. Here is where I ended up yesterday. 1835 total calories, 102 grams of fat, 141 grams of protein, and 71 net carbs. My ratios were a perfect 50%/30%/20%. Also, I burned 512 calories doing 15 miles in 1 hour on the bike.

Re: 10 More Pounds To Go and Moving On Down

No weight loss to report so far this week, but after losing those 5 lbs last week, you had to figure that I would level out.

Still keeping on track, but tonight will be rough. It is my wifes birthday and I am taking her to dinner tonight to a really nice restaurant. I already know that we are going to have a bottle of wine with dinner and that our dinner will be chateaubriand with veggies and bernaise sauce. They are also making her a chocolate souffle, so I may just take one bite. Mostly eggs and very little flour, right? At least that is my excuse! LOL I put everything in my calorie counter already, and I am making adjustments at breakfast and lunch in order to make up for the increases tonight.

Tomorrow, it is back to the gym. I have an appointment with the trainer in the morning to go over all the new exercise equipment to get all the settings down.

Thanks Mitzi! We had a great time last night. I did have a little more wine than I planned, so it is back to the plan today.

I made my January mileage challenge goal today, by the skin of my teeth! I had 12 miles left to go to make 200 miles for the month, and got 13 in on the bike after my weight workout. Boy, I am one pooped puppy!!!

Still standing at 205. Ratios were right on again yesterday, but calories up a little to right at 2000. Today they will be back down to 1800.

Hey, Don - I was just wondering. Do you weigh more often now? Didn't you used to weigh on Mondays only? I used to weigh only on Sundays, but since hitting Maintenance and seeing how fast 5 pounds crept back on when I weighed the Sunday after Thanksgiving, I have thrown a Wednesday weigh in, too. Still only count Sunday's, though.

I have been a very, very naughty girl these past 2 days... my nut addiction has reared it's ugly head again. I really should have more sense.

Yes, I have been bad and sneaking a couple of peeks in during the week. Mondays are my official weigh in days still!

Edited to add: I took another peek this morning. Down another pound!!! FOUR MORE TO GO!!!

Re: 10 More Pounds To Go and Moving On Down

Official weigh in is tomorrow. I had a pretty good week, except for the one celebration night. Calories were up just a hair, but exercise was also up. Speaking of which, Gary Taubes book will arrive tomorrow from Amazon and I am anxious to start perusing through it! :reading:

I am thinking positive for my weigh in! I See 203!

I guess I need to get my eyes checked. I saw 204 this morning, not 203!!! LOL Oh well, down a pound is better than up a pound! Besides, last week I went back to working out with weights and I was probably adding more muscle, so not a bad week. Like I said, I was up a few calories (less than 75 per day), but my ratios still were pretty much on. 52 fat, 29 protein, and 19 carbs.

                      FOUR MORE POUNDS TO GO!!!

Still holding at 204! Getting lots of exercise in and doing pretty good on plan this week. Those last few pounds are killers. I know I'm suppose to take it slow and easy, but I want to be there now!

Mitzi, I have been reading Gary Taubes book and can't put it down. You are right, I am getting really angry about how everyone has been mislead. I just got through with the part on diabetes, and I go to the store today to buy some pastrami and see the #2 ingredient is brown sugar!

Yep... I think anger is the emotion I feel most about it. And WHY does there have to be sugar in everything? Even at Whole Foods, you may be able to get things without nitrates. But it is rare, indeed, to find something without nitrates or sugar. They've usually got one or the other. I did find some all natural sausage there that I like, that has no nitrates or sugar... but it is loaded with sodium.

LOL... getting a little impatient with those last few pounds, are you? Don't worry... I don't think it will be long at all, now.

Another one bites the dust!!! Now two more pounds to go for goal!!!

Went out on Friday and bought a new tuxedo!!! (My wife and I are hosting a murder mystery as a fund raiser on Valentines Day, so I had to get a new one that fits!) It was fun. I tried on the first jacket. Too big! The second jacket. Too big! The third jacket. Still too big! Then I finally found the right size! I guess I am still seeing myself as being bigger than I really am.
