Re: ~*~ Back To Basics ~*~
Just before I found this thread, I had posted in my journal that I was thinking about going back to induction because it was a "no brainer" and I didn't like the way my diet is going. I eat eggs and jicama every day and my appetite is so low, I am still struggling at times to get over 1200 so I end up eating late and something that isn't optimal. I used to eat a lot of spinach and bell peppers but I all of a sudden didn't want anything but jicama and cucumbers.
My water is down too, I don't like drinking less than 2 liters a day too, it has gotten bad over the past 5 days.
Two weeks ago after swimming a mile, I had a flare of my fibromyalgia and I had to lay off exercise for a few days. As soon as I did that, my blood pressure went up and I got weak, so I haven't done much cardio since then and I haven't swam at all. Part of this is school, I have been going extra days but most of it, I just feel weak and tired. I think this is mostly a combination of my water going down a bit, no cardio, and no green veggies. That's why I was thinking about just starting all over again or just going back to the nut rung (I need the fat and calories adn I don't overeat). I moved up to berries but I just don't think my body is ready for it. They were good but they weren't that good, you know?
I have decided if I couldn't go back to walking an hour at a time like I was doing, I was going to walk at least 15 minutes at least 5 mornings a week then try to do what I can later in the day, 15, 30, or 45 minutes, whatever I can handle.
Oh, and my sad confession, something I haven't done since I started doing this right in January, I at a low carb cookie. I had taken my sleep medicine and I was having major munchies but even through that haze I said to myself "This **** has got to stop."

Porcelain, sorry that you have been feeling so rough. Definitely try to work on getting your water in. Sounds like you, Betsy, PT, and I are having trouble with that. I have gotten a little over my minimum each day, but I have to force it. And I think that it is a great idea to break your walk up throughout the day. Even if you didn't get another session in that day, at least you would have one under your belt. I think that consistency is what is important, and this help you achieve that.
Have you talked with a doctor about whether pushing throught the pain is advisable? I know that in some situations, that is what you do. But in other situations, it is not good. I did some reading about running before trying it, and it advised against pushing through pain. But that's for running... I don't know about for you. Have you talked with doc about it?

Yikes - hope it's just the 24 hour variety.
on turning those sticks! And good for you on that productive day. Nice!
