Mitzi--so basically you're doing Rung 1?
I have a few days to think it over, I guess. The thought of returning to only induction foods/rung 1 foods is absolutely repulsive to me right now. Sigh. I need to eat more fat I think--since I've severely cut back on my cheese and nut intake, I'm never sure what to eat. I prefer raw vegetables (especially at work when I only have about 15 minutes for lunch) but salad dressing and mayo have added sugars. I guess I'll have to bite the bullet on that one, huh?

My cold seems to be retreating, too. I've gotta get serious with the exercise this week. And I'm proud of you for weighing only once a week now. That's how I've done it from the start. I lost all of my weight by averaging a loss of between 1 and 2 pounds a week. That average includes the 7 pounds I lost during my Induction time, too. So some weeks I lost 2, some weeks I lost 1, and some I lost 0. Looking at the scale only once a week kept me sane... I would have gone nuts trying to get excited over a 1 pound loss for the week if I watched it everyday.
The calories thing can be frustrating. I am not a believer in a calorie, is a calorie, is a calorie. Meaning, I don't think it's strictly a numbers game of burning more calories than you take in. There's other things involved... and I think the kinds of calories makes a difference. Having said that, I was definitely taking in too many calories over the couple of weeks that I put on the extra 4 pounds. It wasn't water weight... I was eating LOTS of calories, and it put some fat back on me... I could feel it. I can tell I lost some of it last week.

Oh, I wish that I liked eggs! I like fried eggs, but they are a pain so I don't eat them often (usually only when I eat breakfast at my mom's and she makes them for me). I don't like boiled eggs, and am not crazy about tuna, either. I might eat that once a month. Eggs are the perfect Atkins food!
