Amazing the mileage we get out of those turkeys, isn't it?!!! I remember my childhood Christmases... the turkey stuff went on forever!

Tonight having "Risotto al radicchio" using shredded cauliflower. Will make a proper risotto for the family... they're welcome! After that, maybe some eggplant... just grilled and dressed with salt and newly pressed EVO. The EVO is completely different when newly pressed... intense in colour and above all aroma. That only lasts a couple of months though, then, although still wonderful, it loses that "new pressed" fragrance.

We had about 2 feet of snow over the weekend. So I'm still eating from a big pot of chili I made (using the slow cooker) on friday night.

Got a great workout yesterday by shovelling my driveway and walk.

Yesterday for dinner I had pork rolled around prosciutto, fresh sage and cheese, cooked in wine and lemon juice. Side of zucchini, poached and served with home grown, freshly pressed (last month) EVO. Also had a very small portion of broad bean puree (made with broadbeans, little potato, anchovies, bay leaves, garlic and EVO). This is great as a spread, or just eaten alone.

Leek and potato soup for lunch today (made with fewer potatoes than the normal recipe calls for). Also a salad and a piece of cheese. Not much protein there... am due a nice piece of meat or something for supper.
