      I know how you feel.

Well, I'm starting Induction in the morning...and am bracing myself for the first three days, which will be the worst. After that...the best is yet to come!!

Kat, you're going to have to keep me strong girl! I am definitely in need of a routine. That should help keep me sane! I'm planning to walk in the evenings this week and get to the gym at least 3 or 4 days! And drink water water water...

          We can help each other!!

There is another thread where I told them I was starting called "How long can you go?" and it is about being cheat free. Why don't you pop over there and tell them that you are starting too. That will help us both to be accountable. Here's the link if you're interested: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32341

Oh, I've been doing better with my water since I bought a jug from Walgreen's. It holds exactly 64 ounces. So, I carry that around with me (to work) and have my own plastic cup. I've ended up drinking more water than normal with that because I like to see the level go down and then empty. If you have any trouble getting the water in, you may want to try one of those colorful jugs too. That are only a few dollars.

Then, I've been logging my exercise at www.wowy.com.

Well, almost time for Day One to start...at least we can look forward to our clothes being looser by this next weekend! Yippee!!

            ** Drum Roll **

This is it! Our big first day on Induction. I've already had my breakfast with DH (before he left for work) and now I'm getting ready to do my Slim in 6 workout.

            Yeah! We're on our way!!

              Re: Checking on those 5'7"

              Good morning!

I hope you don't mind me jumping in on this post. I just joined a couple of days ago. I, too, am 5'7. I'm female and need to lose close to 75 pounds. These boards seem so inspirational. I began induction on Saturday. As of this a.m. I am down 2.6 pounds. WOO HOO!!!!

Speckle, you are so close. I would be so psyched to be at 172 and I know that if I stick with this I will get there and then to goal!!! Kat, you are very inspirational and upbeat! I have really enjoyed reading through all the posts. It is so motivational!!

I've been drinking my water and exercising. I am committed to doing a minimum 14 day clean induction. Depending on how it goes and given that I am not totally bored with induction, I may stick with it until I get under 200. I haven't seen those numbers for years .

              Thanks for letting me babble!

Imcommitted: Thats awesome, 2.6lbs already! I think Induction is great, but don't forget that you need to climb the carb ladder as instructed in the book. If not, you'll be stuck where I am - back and forth!

I have been struggling to stick with my plan lately! Too many lc "treats"! I've got to limit myself or I'll be sick from eating them.

How is the 5'7" group doing this week? Today is "hump day" and the work week is halfway over!! Yeah!!

A new challenge has been started and it is for those trying to stay cheat free (you can be on any part of the program). If you'd like to join, click here: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard....ead.php?t=32341

Today is my third day of Induction and I don't have a headache today!! So, maybe the worst is over!!

I know feeling thinner will be worth any effort I put towards this. I'm so glad we have a team and we're not in this alone!

I had the headache too yesterday! Gosh almighty!! It was tough! I feel great today though! I think the urges are beginning to pass. I have eaten really great today, although it seems like I'm a bottomless pit. I"ve just spread out my food over every few hours. Hopefully it will help keep me satisfied.

I did a really long walk last night! I think it was almost 4 miles! This morning I did an hour of cardio at the gym this morning, woohoo!

I'll go check out the challenge thread. I tend to sabotage myself when I'm under too much pressure... lol so I may not join it.

It is great to be just about over today and start a new day tomorrow! Whew! One more day down!! I'm looking forward to my clothes feeling looser this weekend -- that is a mini-goal for right now.

Congratulations on your eating AND your exercise!! Thanks for sharing your day!

Well I didn't wind up the day by eating as well as I should have! I was really bored at work last night and ended up eating way too much! I haven't weighed since last week, but as of this morning I'm down a half a pound or so. LOL! At least that's something. I think I may try to do an all meat & egg day today to get back in the right mindset. I'm off work and it's easier to distract myself by doing something else rather than eating!

Hey, a half of pound is better than nothing or a gain!!

Hum...how can you plan to bypass the boredom eating at work?

You may get too hungry if all you eat is meat and eggs today. What about a salad or a pickle/olive?

You can do this! Just plan a strategy for tonight in advance. Bring a bunch of "legal" food with you to munch on.

                            I'm cheering for you!!

Thanks for cheering me on! I did eat all legal foods at work last night - I ate what I brought plus some lunch items that we keep in stock. (quiche minus the crust and salad)

I am doing just fine on the meat & eggs today. It really does help keep the munchy monster away! I had an Atkins shake w/espresso over ice for lunch - yum! And I just ate a bratwurst and a hamburger patty when I got home. I'll probably have another snack later.

I'm trying to keep up the water too! I have always been a big water drinker, so this is not usually my issue. I just LOVE to eat!!

                                You're welcome, little buddy!

I thought you were having trouble with "other" foods...well, if you gotta go over some, better to do it with "legal" foods than the "others".

I love the Atkins shakes, but they seem to stall me so I don't drink them anymore. I loved the cappucino flavor the best!! Yum!!

I have trouble with the water, but I just read an article that said two cups of water boosts your metabolism about 30-40 percent for about 30 minutes. Wow! Sounds good to me! (Now if I could only get it in!)

I'm a little hungry now -- I forgot to bring some pork rinds to snack on, but I'm holding out until I get home so I can be good and be happy by this weekend on the scale.
