Re: Okay I have a really big question
Okay I didn't " jump on any soap box" and I have read the book many times thank those of you who said I haven't. I wasn't trying to put anyone down. I was simply trying to understand why put all that strain on yourself when a simple low carb diet works and it is easy. And healthy. I am sorry that I think that counting carbs and calories is a bit much. I do not think that is fair for for this thread to be "locked" and I do not think that just because I am "new" that that should devalue my opinion or make it any less true or inacurate. The simple fact is if you go back to the book he tells you not to count calories and the only way that fat is really mentioned a whole lot is if you have a metabolic resistance in which you would need to do the fat fast and he tells you it is extremely DANGEROUS to those who really don't need it. I think that this forum is wonderful. I think that y'all are great. I do think that some of you get offended to quickly. I was simply asking a question. And yes, that is what it was even if it was stated in opinion form. I don't understand why you would do something so crazy as to mix something up so cruel as a low carb and low cal. We naturally intake lower calories as we reduce our carbs. But to dramatically reduce them. I can't see that you understand the way a low carb diet works. Where are your bodies getting fuel from. If you are reducing carbs, calories, and fat. On a low calorie and low fat diet we get a fuel from carbs and on a low carb diet from fat and we always get them from calories of course, so if you are cutting out everything you are cutting out your bodies fuel. I don't understand how you say you are doing atkins when you clearly are not. I never meant to offend anyone. I DID NOT KNOW THAT I WAS ON ANY HOT TOPIC. I WAS NOT TRYING TO GET ANYONE RILED UP. This is a forum and I am free to vioce my own opinion.
