Re: What success (big or small) did you have today?
I lost a lot of weight on Atkins years ago and then gained it back during pregnancy. Since I had my last child 7 years ago, I've been on Atkins at least 20 times and failed each time -- never making it through induction. I started on Inducation again last Monday. I felt myself getting ready to fall off the wagon this weekend and realized that I always quit because I get bored with my food choices -- the same old eggs, steak, chicken, salad, etc. It hit me....I had to vary my meals! This weekend, I spent time online finding great no-carb/low carb meals and finding creative ways to use pork rinds. I found tons of mouthwatering recipes and feel like a whole new world has been opened up to me. In addition, I've been cooking these same meals for my family and they love it! Pork rind fried chicken, portobella mushroom pizza...you name it! This time, I think I can really do it. This was a huge success for me.

DH offered to buy lunch when we were in town - it was an atkins unfriendly place with tiny, tiny chairs and I said no thanks, I'll eat when we get home!
I am proud of me!

Well done
In case you didnt discover my favourite recipe site (after ADBB's recipe forums of course) here is a link to the updated Linda's Low Carb Recipes
She marks induction-suitable recipes with a * to help those at that stage of Atkins work out which are 'legal'.

Re: What success (big or small) did you have today?
Whenever my co-workers come back from a vacation, they bring chocolates for the office. Last week I have resisted chocolates from Switzerland & Maine. Today it's sweets from London, thankfully i'm not tempted.
Re: What success (big or small) did you have today?
I came into work and found a card with a bottle of rose wine and some chocolates on my desk. It was from my boss's boss as my boss is on holiday and the card was a 'thank you' for 'holding up the fort' as it were. 2 mini Crunchies and a bag of Buttons went straight into my drawer to hide and the bottle of wine went in my bag. I dont know what was more tempting, the wine or the chocies!!

I did NOT permit myself to get sugar free ice cream as a treat. I did not reward myself with food to mark my 50 pound loss. I walked on the treadmill at the hotel. I made myself sausage for dinner instead of eating the free food at the hotel.

Re: What success (big or small) did you have today?
After being off the wagon for a few weeks, I got back on board, including going to the beach for a long weekend. I made the weekend be about where I was and who I was with and not about "treating" myself to food -- a first for me!!
