    Aw, monie, you are a sweetie, I am sorry everyone if I didn't have time to itemize my replies today, I started back on campus and am super busy. I did good, packed lunch and water. Plan to exercise in the am, BF showed me how to REALLY make the most out of wt lifting, he used to be a pro in HS. I am so sore today!!! That is a great thing though, I felt strong while doing stairs at school today, I can feel my muscles getting stronger and that is a great feeling!

    DB won't be put down for long and wants to eat my book while I am trying to study! LOL! I have him watching a baby einstein movie right now so I gotta take advantage of the time!!! I hope everyone is doing great!!!

      val- just a quick question, are you getting any fat in your meals? you mentioned in your post that you are eating mostly veggies and protein. remember you need approx. 65% fat, well being that you're on OWL now the fat intake should decrease some, but you still need the fat in your diet.

      just thought i'd throw that in there.

        Hey Monie, thanks for replying, I figure I am getting it in the cream in the coffee.

        Here is a typical day over the last week:

        Brkfst: 2 eggs or a piece of veg/bacon quiche
        2-3 cups coffee with cream and splenda

        Lunch: 2 c salad (spinach, romaine, cucumber, etc) and chicken breast or
        salad with a can of tuna mixed with mayo or
        salad with pork chop fried in EVOO

        Dinner: piece of cabbage roll pie, made with cream for fat or
        couple of pieces of pizza made with cheese crust and veggies,
        and pepperoni or
        stuffed green peppers
        Snacks: 2T peanut butter (natural) with a celery stalk

        Drinks: lots of water, the coffee above, and 2 sweetener'd drinks


        I know I have a couple of nono's there, but I guess I am asking which is the worst staller for most people?? It is hard to give up the coffee and creamer and 3 splenda while in school and on the road 80 miles a day, I really get tired. Perhaps I need to cut out the extra sweeteners.

          hi again buddies. well here goes........drum roll please....the results from my weigh in today are........3 lbs down from last week. bringing my total since june 2nd to 22 lbs lost. pretty exciting stuff!!!!! i've tried so hard, and it just goes to show that persistance and perserverence really pays off.

          it seems like 3 is the magical number for the week as i join my buddies bill, and fat4now with a 3 lbs loss.

          well gotta go do my exercises for the night. take care all and good night.

            Buddy's !!

            hope all had a great day! my cold is hanging on, but--I feel much better!
            going to continue to use the universal gym and me and my DD are working out a routine to do in the morning together.

            Monie---F4N--Congrads!!! speech! speech! WTG!!

            Val--Coffee for me is to tuff also--but I did cut way back and taking the
            500mg L-Glutamine capsules has stopped my sugar cravings--on average down to 2 or less packets a day--even in my coffee!!
            We had no results with our brand of Keto strips also--we found out you need to check at the exact time every day and that this brand was known for washing out--we tried it in a cup instead and we did get very light readings---we switched brands and made sure it didn't expire--I am in mid pink-purple--DD is reading DEEP purple DW is in pink--

            good baby name for a little girl--Agatha!

            DW weighed in this A.M.--lost 3 more and total 8 inches! so 10 pounds for 3 weeks--you need to see her ear to ear smile!!

            Andie--You are a whirlwind!! and love how you eat your two cups salad! going to try that myself instead of a bowl of tossed salad..I usually just pick thru it anywayz and crunch away---
            and slooooow but steady excercise! perfect! Here's to a much better week!!

            Irish--hope the vacation is awesome! and hurray for the commitment to your routine! did you say this weekend? how much food is in that fridge?? LOL

            Elsie--We need some songs!--hope all is going well with all the kids!

            X-Files Movie this weekend! yes I have all 9 season's on DVD's

              Hi everyone!

              New buddies: Hello Kiki, Bekka, and Sassy and welcome!!

              Vanessa -- I really want to see Dark Knight but when I went to the theater my friend dragged me to Hancock instead..

              Elsie -- I just had water at the movies, I was afraid to do anything else, but actually once I got into the movie I didn't even notice that I wasn't eating anyways..

              Andie -- Amazing on the exercise, that is what I need to be doing!!

              Val -- I already have the name picked out for my first baby girl teehee, -- Jocelyn. Haha, and if I have a boy?? -- Spencer lol, a tidbit, use it as you like haha

              New developments on the diet front for me and mom. We are both lactose intolerant and the effects of dairy effect us in opposite ways so tonight we went out and got some lactaid pills, and you just take them before you eat dairy and the pill eats up all the milk sugars that we can't digest. We even got lactose free milk, which you can have on induction, and which tastes great! With using this product dad thinks that this will allow me to do the 'wooshies' he's always talking about...

              Did weigh and measure myself this week -- no pounds or inches lost BUT we have narrowed down the things that may be stalling me and are working towards a solution starting with the lactose intolerance thing.

              I'm not worried overall, and this is why: I did the ketosis test thing this morning and it's as purple as they come, we were joking that people would kill for that color lolz..

              But this week I am going to step up the exercise because lately I've been slacking, in fact tomorrow morning me and dad are going bike riding if it doesn't rain. Which probably means I should go to sleep tonight, lol!

              But don't feel bad for me about the no weight loss thing, because I'm far from giving up. I just have to start doing the things I've been slacking on (like drinking water, exercising, and sleeping) and lower my intake of foods I've been eating too much of including splenda and cheese (and maybe coffee). I also am starting the lactose thing.

              Stay inspired everyone, this diet works for everybody, but everybody is different and tweaks sometimes need to be made for people, but stay strong and KNOW that once you find the right tweaks, they will set you going on the right path!!!

              Oh, and mom's lost almost 3 pounds since last week.

                You guys are too funny! I'm going home to see my family! It's going to be a REAL vacation too because I have like 8 siblings who will be watching my 1 yr. old!! Ahhhhhh relaxation here I come!!!!

                I'm so proud of all of you losing so much this week! That's an amazing accomplishment! So happy for you all!!!

                    Monie, congrats on your loss!!! I am so glad for you!!

                    Cori, cute names, Bill...not so much! LOL! Hey, btw, bf and I had the talk and I am so relieved, he was thinking another one about 5 YEARS from now, whew!!! That is ok with me, since, I really doubt he will really want to start over in 5 years! HEHE! I thought he wanted to have another now, communication rules!

                    I had a hard time getting up this am, was up yesterday am with BF at 3:30, making sure he had his LC cooler packed for the week. Then DB decided to get up at 5 just as I was thinking of taking a quick nap. I am up now to get my reading for class in. Can you believe I have to test out of handwashing and I kept flicking, which is not the proper way to do it yesterday? You guys try to wash your hands and not flick or shake the water off at the end!! Gotta really concentrate to get it right today, lol! Its a different class in the way that you have to prove the skills to the instructor. (CNA) But should be fun.

                    Ok, I made less coffee today already. I didn't even eat veggies with dinner, meat chili, with a bit of green pepper and onion that practically was cooked out, and still no color on the sticks this am. I may have to buy the good ones I saw on here by Bayer and see what is up. I think it is me though, they used to show me colors. I am determined, even if I have to give up my sweeteners, which I plan to do today, no pop or flavored water, I will give it the week and see whats what and let you guys know.

                    Bill, get better already! That cold has been hanging on!!!

                    Cori, GREAT attitude, you are an inspiration, I can tell you have a good support group. I put on 3 pounds this week already but my muscles STILL hurt from 2 days ago since BF showed me the RIGHT way to lift wts, so I know its from that, and I am choosing to have a good attitude too!

                    Have a good workout, f4n!!

                    Ok, gotta go read now, have a good, to all the buddies!! Elsie!!! We misss you!!!! (Hope those kids dont have her duct taped to a chair, feeding her oreos with a slingshot or anything!!)

                      Ok.. this website is awful! LOL One could spend days in here reading and reading.. geesh

                      You're all too funny with your comments on me sleeping. *lack there of* It's now 3:25am here and I am wanting to go to bed, but have this feeling of needing to write to you all first. ~Awe~ hahaha

                      First off.. I'm not going to comment to each of individually, but I do want to say that I think you're all doing awesome! Great attitudes, great results, and great humor! What more could anyone ask for?

                      Yesterday (Sunday) was a good day as far as Atkins goes minus the fact I never had breaky, I did however start doing some exercise and I drank 96oz's of water. My carb intake for the day was 18.5.

                      My day got a heck of alot worse when I decided to go try to find a t-shirt to buy. I came out after trying 5 tops on, found my dh and walked to the car.. apparently I was headed in the wrong direction and dh asked me where I was going, so as I turned to go in the right isle where the car was.. I said "somewheres where I belong!" Dh was very confused and noticed while we were driving to the cold beer and wine store (for his King size beer) that I was very unhappy, and when he asked me several times what was wrong I could only shake my head. I mean you have to understand, my dh has never been "FAT" or "Obese" in his 44yrs of life.. He like most I guess, just doesn't get it! My mind wouldn't let it go, so it ruined many hours afterwords.

                      Today (Monday) started off alot better.. I weighed myself *Shhhh* I know.. I know.. I'm not really, it's just pretend for now till Thursday morning. After 4 days on Atkins I am down 7/8lbs! I say 7/8 cause it was too hard for me to figure out which lil line it was on. lol

                      I then got on making my breaky (1.2 carbs), and had a pretty good lunch (6.5 carbs) and the dinner (6.9 carbs) I threw together was so yummy that my dh thought I had followed some recipe! That was funny! He told me that he didn't know diet food could taste so good. He even loved the "Potatoes" Today I only used 14.6 carbs But I increased my excercise by triple and I drank 112oz's of water!

                      Well, I guess I should turn in for the night. Hopefully I can get on here earlier tomorrow (later today), it's just hard when computers are in our bedroom and dh works graveyards.

                        Good Morning Buds!

                        Much better, very light runny nose, but think I finally beat this!
                        was up at crack of dawn today--4:30 A.M. And I finally did it--
                        took out my Bike and WOW was it awesome!! figure I did 10 miles or so
                        Amazing experiance! counting the hours now to get back on..all I think about...geez feel like I'm 10 again! LOL

                        Val--Sassy--REMEMBER--it's the veggie's that cause the WOOSHIE's!!
                        expecially the salad veggie's--don't cut back--but add to them!

                        Val--I joke about this and that to try and make your day seem a little bit less stressfull---but your really a true Whirlwind!

                        Sassy--I had some issue's with my DW also...after weeks of talking she has started Atkin's---weird thing is--yes she lost pounds and inch's--but she refuses to go to the store and buy new clothes that fit her now???
                        why would anyone walk around in pant's that you have to pull up all the time or shirts that are too big??

                          Val--looked at the label of the stix--it is Bayer we switched to..
                          we figure over 60% of the stix from the other brand were faulty..

                            Morning everybody:
                            Really struggled with temptation this morning. I usually have a crustless quiche of some kind prepared so I can just heat it up and go. Didn't have that this morning, so I left the house w/o eating breakfast. Then all the old habitual urges kicked in. I finally hit a McDonalds for a sausage and egg biscuit (w/o the biscuit) and made it on in to work. Mornings are a dangerous time for me (I have about a 35 minute commute, so there's lots of time to go astray). Lesson: always have the next meal planned and be prepared!

                            Monie - congrats on the 3 lbs, way to go!

                            Bill - glad you're feeling better, summer colds are the worst.

                            Cori - keep hanging in there!

                            Joe - where you been? I want to know if you've lost that last 0.7 lbs to make it below 100 to go!

                              Hello Everybody!
                              Today was a good day! We had Drug and Alcohol training this am, (ZZZ) and only three procedures this afternoon at work. I had alot of energy this afternoon, I did my resistance exercises and off to a walk after this. I was down 2lbs today! Yeah me for a total of 9.5lbs. I have put the scales away for a couple a weeks, I do not want to obscess! I want to set a another goal before my hubby comes home. I am glad I found this board and am eating the Atkins way again. How was everyone's day?

                                35 minute drive..pack crunchy long chew stuff--maybe celery sticks with cream cheese?

                                we are going to try Linda's meatballs tonight--picked up some cabbage cheap--looking for something to do with it--maybe wrap a meatball in it and bake it in tomato sauce?--I'll think of something
