As for the atkins way of living - the problem seems simple to me. VEGGIES AND WATER!! Read the book, it is so very enlightening and resourceful. Use the induction friendly foods list on atkins.com. Here is a link:

Your dinner sounded great - except the almonds. Make sure you don't go over your veggies per day either. A rule of thumb I always used was a 2 cup salad or more for lunch with some chicken or a few slices of lunch meat, and a veggie with my lovely meat or protein dinner. I have had great results this way - but as another member posted, results differ for men, women, and sizes. I agree with this 100%. So watch your menu closely so you can see what works best for you!
As a sample menu I eat 2 eggs for breakfast with 2 slices of bacon, and cook my eggs in a pat of butter and top them with 2 oz. of shredded cheddar cheese. I will have a nice salad with no more then 2 tablespoons of ranch dressing for lunch, then beef or chicken with an approved veggie for dinner. All throughout the day I have 96 ounces or more of water. Now and then I will have cheese snacks when hungry. I get a lot of my fat from the meat or butter I cook with. I lost 13 pounds my first week of induction. Try out a menu similiar and see how you do. Count today as day 1! Stay with us, and give this life style of good low carbs a try and see where it takes you!!
