    hey Jane, how often do you weigh yourself? i havent met my goal yet, scared i might have even put on a lb :S i normally check my weight everyday but i dont count it until the weekend good luck, i hope your reach your goal.

    been munching on food all day, all atkins friendly but im really try to cut back and not snack so much obviously not doing a great job of that.

      Hey! As for weighing...I am always scared of it. lol. I was doing it once a week. The most I will do is every 3 days. I try to tell myself to weigh, because IF I have gained, I need to know and fix it.

      The first time I did Atkins (2003), I was always weighing and doing the dang keto sticks. lol I am afraid to do either this time around.

        Hi Jane thanks so much for all the bday wishes they were so sweet.You have been busy doing yard work which is good exercise and i pray you have reached your mini goal you truelly deserve it with all the effort your putting in .All the best buddie!

        Hi focus me and you have the same problem we should make a routine doing exercise on certain days what do you think?Im thinking it rains daily and if the weather gets abit better im doing an hour long walk daily i used to before and it helped me lose the lbs.Good luck to you too buddie I really hope you get to your desired weight soon.

        A big hi going out to all the rest of my buddies.I have restarted induction after the pizza and cake but must admit didn't enjoy the taste and was suprised i was missing my atkins diet food so im so glad im back on track.Enjoy your day all.

          hey all buddies,

          jane i weigh in every day 5 times a day lol maybe not that much but yea i do weigh alot. i like to see how different food affects me if that makes sense so i can be wary of them. its not good but i dont let the results affect me which is what i used to do before.

          sham ive signed up for the 6 weeks exercise challenge and have pledged to do it 3 times a week whatever excercise i want. you should sign up too, it starts this sunday so plenty of time.

          still being good but snacking way too much on nuts. must stop!!

            Morning all!

            Sham How are you doing with restarting induction? Hope it is going well (and I know you are determined, so I am sure it is).

            Focus For the first time, I weighed myself 2 days in a row..yesterday and today. It wasn't easy for me. lol But it is like you said..I got to thinking that as I go up the rungs, how will I know if a food is affecting me if I don't weigh. I dont' think I will weigh every day but probably more than once a week as I go up the rungs.

            Hope ALL the BUDDIES are doing well. Its been kind of quiet lately but I know everyone is busy too.

            Well I am happy to say I met my mini goal! -20lbs since I started. My next little tiny mini goal is to get below 160 which is 3lbs away. That could take me 2 weeks.
            I have also been thinking about exercise and might look into the challenge too.

              What - Congrats on meeting your mini-goal

              Since the weekend, I've really fallen off. It's weird. The crazy thing is that it's happening after I leave work everyday. I'm fine up until I leave, then I get home and I'm eating like a pig. I don't know if it's stress or what. However, I'm still drinking 100+oz of water a day and getting my exercise. I'm going to start back on induction on Monday.

                as of this morning i reached my first mini goal also but i wont count it until sunday as thats my official weigh in day

                carmella, im the same, good all day and then when i get home its like i relax and get the munchies, still atkins friendly but its not good to be snacking so much i think. good luck with induction.

                  Carmella I have actually been struggling in a similar way as you. I do fine all day but in the evening, I just want to eat anything/everything. Last night I just drank water all evening (and paid for it in the middle of the night lol). I think I am pmsing and going to blame it on that. I am not sure of other reasons we would do that.

                        Focus its up to you what goal you set yourself I am now aiming at 14lb (a stone) but 7 lbs (half) is a good mini goal.Its entirely your choice.Other members have lots of mini goals.If your finding weight loss is slow why dont you set every 7lb as a mini goal?

                          Hi Sham:

                          Hope everybody has recovered from their bouts with flus, etc. Luckily, I'm on holiday from campus until the latter part of August. I was emailed from the university stating that there were four confirmed cases of H1N1 affecting three student and a staff worker.

                          I just noticed something: you have dropped 102 lb. (7 2/7 stone) in a year. That's remarkable. Congratulations on your accomplishments. Take care Sham.

                          P.S. I also wanted to review my my fractions...I had professors for mutivariable and advanced calculus that did not let us use calculators a few years ago...but that's another story...

                            Hi Norman enjoy your days off from campus,make the most of them.Yes everyone has recovered but here in birmingham the flu has really risen 14 deaths thats alot and they say 1000 cases a months thats terrible.Summer is to blame as stated what a crap excuse they should give medication in advance like jabs not wait till someones really poorly.Thanks for the comments on my weight loss I was 177lbs and few days off plan as im on day 3 of induction im now 181lbs soon will be back in the 170's like before.Have a nice day.

                                You know what freaks me out about H1N1? I'm kind of scared that this sucker is going to mutate a bit more and really make its impact during regular flu season, around March or so. A very good defense is to carry around hand sanitizer gels and clean your hands frequently. Keep one in your car or purse. Well Sham, guess I'm going to do lower body now and abs. Talk to you later.
