Re: Are You Eaing Your Veggies? ~ A Boardwide Challenge
Hey, Everybody...
I just had to come by for a moment and share my exciting news.
Sundays are weigh-in day for me. When we started this challenge, I wondered how this increase in veggies would affect my weight loss for the week. I have been looking forward to weighing today, even though TOM is looming and I expect "him" to arrive in the next couple of days (I'm pretty regular)... I was hungrier than usual yesterday and today, breaking out on my face in the same place I do every month, a little "swollen". Well, I have had a 3 pound loss this week! Woo-hoo!
And I even lost 2 last week from just "practicing" with veggies for a few days before the challenge started on Monday.
To those of you who came up with the idea for this challenge and Jimmie and Silly for running it - I want to express my sincere gratitude. You have literally changed my life! Like I have said before, I never ate vegetables before Atkins, and up until this challenge I wasn't eating nearly as many as I have been for the past 10 days. I am going to continue to strive for these minimums everyday... this is the way I eat now.
I really couldn't be happier and I hope that everyone else feels better about veggies, as well. We did great!!
BTW Jimmie, thank you for saying in an earlier post that I don't look 47. I appreciate that so much! (especially since I don't have makeup on in that picture
). I "take after" my mom... she looks great for her age.
