The original 1972 book only required one week of Induction and you were only allowed 10 grams of carbs from salad--not a long list. It was very strict--you weren't even allowed spinach (or tomatoes or onions). Many times when a member tells someone that tomatoes and onions are not allowed on Induction, it's because they are going by the old book.
