    Good question. I live in an area that doesn't even sell ground lamb because (as I was informed ) "people around here don't eat that" Getting an unusual vegetable will be a challenge by itself. As it is, I have to go into MA to get Jicama.

      Chick, fitday is 4 years old too. On mine, when you are in food log, you click on "view" at the top. There are options "find a food", "food Details", "day summary", "enable helper message", "group food by meals", "show ingredients in food log", "choose food log columns". Does yours look like that?

                Yayyyy...Thanks for the reminder!! I will be here with bell's on!! (bell pepper bell's that is! giggle) Jicama is my new vegie..but I couldnt' wait and had some today! rofl I hope that was ok?? I really loved it and will be buying it from now on!! So do I just post how many veggie carbs I had for the day or how much veggies in general that I am eating for the day?

                  Mitz...just wanted you to know that my day starts at 2-3 pm and ends around 8 am on what would be the next day for you guys (night shifter!!) Anyway, so my daily tallies will be done about this time now.

                    I'm very excited about getting started on this challenge this morning I have to go over th eveggie list and pick a new one ......... Leeks might be the one I choose too as I know I have never had them on purpose ....... LOL Honestly I'm not even sure what they are? An onion of sorts is my guess? I'll have to look it up. MItzi how would you coo and eat them?

                    I totally screwed up yesterday and ate things i should not have so after 13 days clean I am back to day one again .......... UGH UGH UGH ........ it's so stupid of me. You'd think I'd get sick of those four to five days that as so dang hard to get rid of all the crap in my system!

                    Anyways here I am ready to go!!!!!!

                      I feel exactly the same hrgillespie! I did the same thing kinda kicked myself out of Ketosis ergh.

                      I guess you can say any vegetable is going to be a new one with me! haha. I don't like veggies so this will be interesting. I'm actually gonig to try cauliflower for the first time with week......

                        Not sure what my veggie of choice for new will be, I suspect it may just have to be a new veggie recipe this week! LOL

                        Is this a daily check in at the end of the day or can it be the following morning?

                              Hi! Finishing up my first day on the Veggie Challenge with a success. Not certain the format in which we are to account. Today I had 19 carbs of veggies... from a baseline of 17. The breakdown is in my signature below. Is this good?

                              P.S. Bugs Bunny came to visit with the carrot 'tops' for greens.. LOL..

                                I didn't look up my veggies for the exact count. But I had diced onions, bellpepper and jalapeno in my omelet for breakfast (probably about 1/8 cup of each). And I split a 14 oz. bag of broccoli between lunch and dinner and that provided me with 10 net carbs from that. So I think I can safely say I had between 12-14 net veggie carbs for the day.


                                May 12

                                1/8 cup of diced onions = l net carb?
                                1/8 cup of diced bellpepper = 1 net carb?
                                1/8 cup of jalapeno = l net carb?
                                14 oz. bag of frozen broccoli (10 net carbs)

                                total = 13 net carbs
