7. Read chapter 11. Post a sample INDUCTION menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner using the ACCEPTABLE FOODS and provide the carb count. Do not use the sample in the the book and be as specific as you can. For example, state 1/2 cups, whole cups, ounces, etc. These can be actual menus that you have used or made up menus. Counting all the carbs or just net carbs, either way works for this assignment.
Breakfast (it is my favourite breakfast)
Scramble of 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon, cheddar cheese (1/4cup shredded)
with the following sauteed veggies:
2 mushrooms
1 slice onions
5 snowpeas
1 ring red pepper
1 floret broccoli
olive oil
total net carbs 6
Lunch
Tuna salad (1box water canned tuna) 2 tbs mayo, 1/2 stick celery
1/2 tomato, 3 leaves of romaine, 2 slices jicama
total net carbs 3.2
Supper
fried beef 8 oz
salad out of
2 slices red pepper
1 stalk celery
7 slices cucumber
1 leaf romaine
1/4 tomato
2 tbs ranch dressing
total net carbs 4.2
total net carbs 13.4
8. Nitrates.... why did Dr. Atkins prefer us to use nitrate free bacon, ham, etc.?

9. Are there any other points or comments you would like to discuss concerning Induction?
I never figured out the point of the cups (except perhaps convenience) If 20 carbs is the limit why would it not be OK to count the carbs (using fitday for example) rather than measure with cups. Because when you get to OWL you have to start counting the carbs - those cups won't cut it anymore.
