              I have been mulling over doing the couch to 5k plan. I will start on August 1st. So I am in. Yes, this is above my usual biking, pilates, and walking. Good challenge.
              149.8/no weigh/ 119



              1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
              what the rungs mean to me:
              rung 1 - more veggies
              rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
              rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
              rung 4 - berries, melon
              rung 5 - wine -
              rung 6 - beans, hummus
              rung 7 - other fruits
              rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
              rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
              Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
              (on to pre-maintenance)

                    i think it's a good challenge too, shannon. it's nice to have a pay-it-forward kind of challenge. focus on others, less on self, but we still get the benefit of the exercise

                            just for emphasis, remember, there are no upper limits on minutes and only 10 donated minutes will earn you the award.

                            as per the challenge 'rules'..........
                            1. Sign up

                            2. There are no upper limits on the amount of minutes you can donate but donations must be at least 10 minutes.

                            3. Exercise should be ABOVE AND BEYOND what you would count for any other challenge. For example, if suzywantstohelp bikes 15 mintues but counts that towards her Mileage Challenge, it won't count here. If bobbyishelping takes a rest day in the 6 WEC but jogs for 30 minutes [and does not use those minutes for any other challenge], he can donate the 30 minutes to ATKINSNATION. In other words, minutes should be done specifically for ATKINSNATION and for no other reason or purpose.

                            4. On August 1 and August 2, post your donated minutes in this thread. Sending a pm to the Moderators, the Admins, other members will not work. Posts MUST BE made in this thread to count.


                            you do not need to commit to any minutes right now. just post at the end of the day on aug 1 or the morning on aug 2 and post how many minutes you are donating.

                                Are the donated minutes consecutive or cumulative for that day? In other words, could I do my Tai Chi in the morning followed by yoga, then later do some cardio & strength training and ending the day with my p.m. Tai Chi?

                                If it is cumulative, then I can probably rack up a lot of minutes; if it's consecutive, not so much.
