Ok, I weighed today and have put on a pound. Now the real challenge begins to keep of the scale until next Sunday. We went out to a Mexican restaurant on Friday and I think the Salsa Verde had more carbs than I thought. Or the extra pound could be because it's suddenly got very hot here, we worked in the yard yesterday and I drank more water. But I think I've lost 3/4 of an inch on both my arms. I've been doing more weights this week and so it could be that. From taking my measurements today, my DH suggested that we draw a line with permanent marker so he knows where he measured last time! From reading posts on other forums, I've learnt that our bodies are all differant and loose/gain weight for a number of reasons. I've not happy with this weight gain, but more important it is NOT going to derail all my hard work. I'm going to stick with weighing only once a week.
I've enjoyed this challenge, it's taught me to listen to my body more adn I've come to realize taht is more important the what the scale and tape measure says. Thanks Jimmie, and I look forward to another challenge.

No just kidding. I lost only 1 pound. I guess this is going to be a long trip down to my weight goal.
Jimmie, thank you for hosting this so nicely. Next time I will join again. I tried to enter the reward in my signature, but I have a max. of 1500 characters including BB code. Does that also count for rewards or am I doing something wrong?
non supporting members are limited to either 2 or 3 graphics in their signatures. each smilie counts as one, a ticker will count will count as 1 and then you are limited by characters also. any award will also count as 1 and that does include the characters in the character count.
a couple things can be done. you can rearrange your signature so things will fit or you can become a supporting member [which gives you more room but also gives you access to some other cool things]. there is another option which is to combine things into one 'picture' but that gets pretty technical for this forum.

Ack 129 this morning. I know I am bloated though so I will check again in a couple days. My tummy feels so poofed out.

Weighed in at 189.6 and up many lbs thats why I have restarted yesterday and Im on day 2 induction.Im going to weigh in and keep a track of my weight regularly.
april, your weight on sunday was 128.7 so being 129 today.... well, that virtually is no difference.

No I ddn't weigh, but I was tempted. But I decided not to because if I hadn't lost that pound, I know I would not be as calm about it as I was yesterday. I promised myself not to weigh until next Sunday.

Just popping in to say Hi! I missed the last week of the challenge because I was on vacation. I didn't weigh while I was away, though, but I didn't eat exactly on task either. It was very, very difficult for me. I was in Egypt and found that several things I would normally eat were off limits for me and I was at the mercy of the hotel packaged lunches,etc. Rather than cheat, though, I raised myself to level nine in the rungs. (I guess that is cheating) I did help me to get through it. I was able to eat a whole grain sandwich and some fruit. I was proud to stay within healthy eating although I will weigh today. (Sunday here already)
I love the accountability of this thread... Can we just keep the thread going without the challenge?

what the rungs mean to me:
rung 1 - more veggies
rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
rung 4 - berries, melon
rung 5 - wine -
rung 6 - beans, hummus
rung 7 - other fruits
rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...) Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
