    • Hey everyone I'm back from Texas, had the BEST time, my new family is just ..... there are no words to describe how wonderful they are.

      Anyways, I did gain some weight while I was there so I'm putting myself back on strict induction. I am not going to reach my goal by Thanksgiving, but at least I can lose what I gained, right?

            • :no nothin seems to motivate me anymore.. i guess its a feel sorry for myself day... I just cant get back in to it... the thought of more meat, eggs... cheese just grosses me the **** out....

              • Cinders, you are doing so well! Don't give up. Go SHOPPING. It motivates me :yes Also get going with OWL and get some more food choices. If the first rung or 2 is not doing it for you skip it and add some things in on a higher rung that you really like. Don't give up! You've done so well. One day you might have nuts the next some berries, etc. Just to get more variety in.
                Yesterday and today I hit 199. So almost there. 4 more pounds! :dancing
                I am a firm believer in Atkins and the exercise has really helped, but I read an article on another diet and they recommended breaking your exercise up into 3 smaller time frames throughout the day to aid in weight loss. I tried it this week and was down 4 pounds. Just a thought it might help motivate you as well and bring on the whoosh fairy. Exercise always makes me feel better.

                • I am not weighing myself today... I had to take a bunch of painkillers last night and am retaining water like crazy.

                    Didn't drink enough water and haven't walked in a couple weeks, so there's no one to blame but me.

                    I really thought I'd see 199 by Thanksgiving but now I'm not so sure... :anger

                          • Thanksgiving is 8 days a way! How is everyone doing?
                            I am still at 199 but really hoping to see 195 for the holiday. It will be close I think.

                            • Hi girls (I am assuming there's only women here)

                              By doctors orders I am to go off Atkins at least temporarily because my medications aren't doing anything to help and he's thinking that maybe another shot at a low-fat diet would help me.

                              But I'm not giving in to the whiteflour and the sugar and the milk. No way. I'm simply going to cut down on the fatty meats and the butter and cream, and will incorporate wheat pastas and whole grains.

                              This sucks but I wanted to let you all know that I'm still going to be here to cheer y'all on and I KNOW you're going to be successful!
