Food has been good today. Those stuffed peppers look fantastic! I will have to make those -- soon!

Water is also good today - 80 oz so far - probably 100 oz by the end of the day.

    Can't wait to go home!!!!!!

    Big love,

Congrats on being a new owner of a treadmill.

Just remember....it's not a coat rack, and you do have to use it to keep the motor lubed often. lol

Oh, and watching a movie while walking on it makes the time go by faster. I highly recommend "Twister"...if the movie doesn't keep you moving, the music just might.

    Yea on the water!

glad to hear your booty pain is gone.

LisaM...way to go on the swimming! Yes..I love her site. You do have to be careful with some of her induction menus though. Her salad has sunflower seeds on it...which is not acceptable.

Welcome wonderwoman! All you need to do is check in and lend and get support daily if possible or when you can.

catestar...WEIGH to go on the 6.6 pounds. How exciting. Remember...just in case you drop only a small amount of weight next week that it won't be water weight...that your body is adjusting and it is actual weight lost and so will the 6.6 from this week.

Stacy....that is exciting! Let us know how your first session goes.

Steph...don't forget the copy and paste button when you don't want to retype. But glad the insurance thing worked out.

Another good day for me. Weigh day tomorrow. I know it will be up...but hopefully not too much. Until tomorrow.....
Yeah, I saw a lot of her Induction recipes that are more of OWL recipes instead. But they're all pretty good.

Between my SIL and I we have lost 95 pounds but Grandma hasn't noticed...LOL! Anyhow...have a great day...drink your water and follow the plan.

Hello everyone. It has been crazy at my house. One kid after the other coming down with strep. So it's back to the Dr.s office for me. I am getting my water in. I had a Diet Rite yesterday. It wasn't even good, much too sweet!

I didn't go for my bike ride this morning due to waiting by the phone for the Dr. to call back. Since I have a while before the appointment, I'm going to get it done before we go.

New treadmill, great recipe, people exercising and feeling great, this challenge is a great place to be!!!!

            Have a wonderful day everyone!

                  Checking in from NZ...

you guys are all doing so well- congrats!

Elsie - 95 pounds between you and your sil?! That's incredible-I can't even get my head around those sorts of numbers.

Jon - well done on the 6 days cheat free & walking. You will see some dramatic results I'm sure after 2 weeks- guys tend to drop pretty quickly.

Lisa - your new photo looks great & go you with the swimming. I had one goal to acheive before I turned 40 last year & that was to do a women's triathlon which I did in Feb last year. It was such a challenge to get swimming again after 20 odd years, and a real sense of acheivement in completing it. (Unfortunately I am much less healthy & fit now due to a number of medical issues since, but am certainly feeling better just in this last week of starting Atkins.) The scariest part I always found is the de-robe & run from the changerooms to the water

Steph- your new family photo is lovely too - what a great looking family - hope weigh in is a good one for you!

Erin - hope that the kids are getting better. I know how it can throw routine when you have sick kids.

Stacy - how's the treadmill going girl? Christened it yet?

                  Sorry if I missed anyone.

As for me......I posted elsewhere earlier today that it is amazing that I had a real mental battle last night wanting to "reward" my weight loss with chocolate "Duh"!! I resisted but feel like I am walking a tightrope that I could fall off at any moment as self sabotaugue is always my enemy. The prednisone is definitely still increasing my appetite so I am drinking heaps of water to try and cope. I still can't exercise either, but that will come when doc gives the all clear.

Have diverted from plan a bit tonight. My family have been in the habit the past couple of months of having Thai takeaways on a Fri night as DH & I both get in really late after picking up kids from sports trainings all over the city. I battled in my head what to do & decided to risk it so I don't feel like I am deprived, so I had a chilli seafood & veg medley. I didn't eat any of the carrots nor had any rice & will see tomorrow morning if it was a good idea or not! Hey - nothing ventured....

Anyway, have raved on here forever. Hope everyone is well.

Thanks Cate. I just took that picture, actually.

Today is weigh in day. I haven't weighed in 2 or 3 days. I am so excited to see it there is a change!! I hope it's something! LOL. I was 160.0 lbs last time, so 159.something lbs shouldn't be a problem....LOL

Okie dokie, Have a really great day everyone!!! Happy Friday!!

Thanks Elsie!! I love my little family I want to have a big family one day, but I need to grow up a tiny bit more, LOL!

Jennifer, You are so crazy girl! My behind is so big, I don't even think I'd notice you back there! haha. Our weights are very similiar now, but you have to remember, I am 5'2 1/2 (if that, but I rounded in my siggy) and you are 5'5! You are skinnier than I am! LOL

I hate those bumos we hit. I feel like I was 165 for a month! LOL. Your scale will stop lying to you soon, I promise. You just need to have a little talk with it, that's all! hehe

                                Good morning my lovelies!

Had another good day yesterday. Even went to the show with the kids and never had popcorn or diet pop...just drank my water. Did 2 more recipes.

                                From http://users3.ev1.net/~fontlady/

The chicken one I doubled the recipe but used 16 legs instead of thighs and just a tad over 1/2 cup of butter instead of a cup. The cauliflower one I used fresh cauliflower. Both good.

                                Elsie

                                PARMESAN HERB CHICKEN THIGHS
4 ounces freshly grated parmesan cheese
                                1-2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
                                1/8-1 teaspoon dried basil
                                1 teaspoon paprika
                                1/2 teaspoon salt
                                1/2 teaspoon pepper
                                Pinch garlic powder
                                8 chicken thighs
                                1/2 cup butter, melted

Mix the first 7 ingredients in a small bowl. Wash the chicken and pat dry. Grease a 9x13" baking dish; arrange chicken pieces, skin side down in dish. Season the bottom of the chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Using tongs or a fork, dip the skin side of each thigh in the melted butter, then in the cheese mixture. Place skin side up in baking dish. Bake at 425º for 35-50 minutes, until juices run clear.

                                Makes 4-8 servings

Per 1/4 Recipe: 732 Calories; 60g Fat; 45g Protein; 2g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 2g Net Carbs
Per 1/8 Recipe: 366 Calories; 30g Fat; 22g Protein; 1g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 1g Net Carbs

This is a slight variation on the Parmesan Herb Chicken recipe that uses bone-in chicken breasts. The breasts came out a little too dry for my tastes, so I decided to try the recipe with thighs instead. They turned out better.

                                JUST LIKE STUFFED BAKED POTATOES
16 ounce package frozen cauliflower *
                                8 ounce cream cheese, softened
                                8 ounce cheddar cheese, shredded
                                4 green onions, chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt or to taste
                                1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 pieces bacon, chopped and fried until crisp
                                Paprika, optional

Cook the cauliflower until soft, about 8-10 minutes; drain very well and break up florets a bit with a spoon (it's also very good if the cauliflower is still a little chunky). Put in a greased 8 x 8" baking pan or 2-quart casserole. Mix in the cream cheese, cheddar, green onion, salt, pepper and bacon. Dust top with paprika, if desired. Bake at 350º for 20-40 minutes, until browned and bubbly. Or, microwave, loosely covered, for about 40 minutes on 50% power, turning dish after 20 minutes.

                                Makes 6 servings
                                Can be frozen

Per Serving: 324 Calories; 27g Fat; 15g Protein; 6g Carbohydrate; 2g Dietary Fiber; 4g Net Carbs

                                * You can use up to 2 pounds of cauliflower and there will still be plenty of sauce and cheese to go around. With 2 pounds of cauliflower the count would be:

                                Per 1/8 recipe: 256 Calories; 21g Fat; 12g Protein; 7g Carbohydrate; 3g Dietary Fiber; 4g Net Carbs
                                Per 1/12 recipe: 171 Calories; 14g Fat; 8g Protein; 5g Carbohydrate; 2g Dietary Fiber; 3g Net Carbs

This is very yummy and an all-time favorite. It goes very well with my Grandma's Rouladen and is very nice with grilled or broiled salmon.
